Ray White has appointed one of Australian real estate's most respected figures to a newly created position.

Thomas McGlynn joins Ray White as CEO - Performance and Value, a role created to strengthen the leadership capability, business performance and long-term success of members across Australia and New Zealand.

Thomas brings a unique combination of experience and creativity in sales, property management, auctioneering and strategic leadership. He has worked across most Australian markets with a range of national groups and independents in both corporate and operating roles, and in doing so has created a very strong reputation for building high performing organisations and attracting and retaining talent.

Most recently, he spent six years as CEO and Partner of the Bresic Whitney Group, one of Sydney's most successful independent real estate businesses. He is President of the Real Estate Institute of New South Wales, a sought-after property commentator, panellist and guest speaker, and one of the most recognised thought leaders in the industry.

Throughout his career, he has built, scaled and led high-performing real estate organisations, and has a long track record of developing the agents, teams and business owners around him.

Ray White Group managing director Dan White said Thomas McGlynn is one of the most respected minds in Australian real estate.

“He thinks deeply about leadership, professional standards and what it takes to build a great business. These things are fundamental to our ambition and value offering to our members.”

‘We are thrilled that Thomas has chosen to join us. He brings a unique set of experiences, unquestionable enthusiasm, and a belief that our best days are well ahead of us.”

For Thomas McGlynn, the move is a natural evolution.

With two decades spent advocating for higher professional standards and investing in the people around him, stepping into a role purpose-built around those principles is a rare alignment of conviction and opportunity.

McGlynn said: “Over the course of my career, one thing has become clear: leadership is the defining difference between good businesses and great ones.”

“To have the opportunity to help shape that across the most influential real estate network in Australasia is incredibly compelling.”

“When you lift leadership capability across a network of this scale, the impact goes far beyond one business. It shapes thousands of careers and helps define where the industry goes next.”

“Our industry is at an inflection point, and the groups that define the next decade will be those willing to think long term, be courageous and invest deeply in their people. I feel privileged to be joining the business I believe is best positioned to lead that future.”
