    Speaking to me while working from home with a dislocated knee after his latest wrestling match, Sean ‘Showtime’ said his love of wrestling came at a young age when watching the matches on TV became like an escape for him.

    “Technically wrestling came before real estate,” he said.

    “I always watched it as a kid and I always thought one day I'm going to do that.

    “But you grow up and life happens but it was always in the back of my mind.

    “I did start doing real estate first but wrestling was my first love.”

    Sean moved from his home town of Newcastle to Melbourne and got stuck in lockdown during Covid, which turned out to be an important time of reflection.

    At 27 years old, in the middle of and after years of training MMA, Sean decided it was now or never if he was going to start wrestling.

    “I didn't want to live a life of regrets, so in July 2022 I started doing shows,” Sean said.

    “It's a really niche thing so you have to really want to do it.

    “I went down and did some induction classes where they teach you how to throw yourself around safely.

    “Just two weeks in I actually started announcing for the matches first, but now I’ve been doing it for four years and actually do shows for four different promotions.”

    Sean said the wrestling scene in Australia was relatively small, and he believes he may be the only person from the real estate industry who is also a professional wrestler.

    “It’s funny when my tenants and landlords find out I'm a wrestler, the reaction is always the same, they are always pretty surprised,” he said.

    “I don’t really look like a wrestler, I’m not some huge 6ft guy.”

    Sean said he loved the challenges that both wrestling and real estate bring to his life.

    “Wrestling is physically but also mentally demanding. Before a show I do still get nervous. But in some ways they really balance each other out,” he said.

    “They’re two very different things that are challenging and stressful in their own ways.

    “When I'm having a wrestling match I have to be really present and I can't think about anything going on in my work life, and vice versa.

    “Sometimes it’s a lot and it’s a bit chaotic, there’s often not a lot of downtime. But I seem to be juggling both okay.

    “I'm doing things I want to do, and it challenges me.”

    Sean’s biggest fans are the team at Ray White Southbank.

    “It's amazing, our team has been to his shows before,” Ray White Southbank head of property management Alex Mees said.

    “We even have shirts made up!”
