In a first for Western Australia, Ray White offices across the state will open their available rental properties for inspection on Saturday December 5, in a bid to combat increasing rental vacancy rates.

In response to the REIWA research which indicates rental vacancy rates across the state have risen to 5.6 per cent (up from four percent in October last year), Ray White WA has created ‘The Rent Event’ - the largest coordinated rental open house event WA has ever seen.

2015 has also seen the median house price drop and days on market increase from an average of 59 days this time last year to the current average of 71 days, a trend which has continued into property management, according to Mark Whiteman, Ray White Western Australia CEO.

“We created ‘The Rent Event’ to proactively challenge the current rental market trend of increasing vacancy rates. It’s our job to showcase the best rental opportunities Western Australia has to offer,” said Mark.

“Our local Ray White offices have the knowledge, skills and experience to maximise client expectations, even in a slowing market," he said, adding that it was time to shake things up.

“The Rent Event’ will provide an ideal opportunity for people to find their perfect home and for landlords to showcase their property to as many tenants as possible.

The local community is encouraged to get involved on December 5. For more information please visit www.raywhiterentevent.com
