SOCCER player turned successful real estate agent Brett Hughes has returned home to the Ray White Mooloolaba and Kawana Waters team.

It was a chance trip to the Sunshine Coast to see friends that prompted the soccer pro to transition from his life as a Sydney based goalkeeper in Australia's top league to a real estate agent for one of south-east Queensland's most beautiful beachside regions.

Mr Hughes made the move to Queensland from his home on the northern beaches and began a new career with Ray White Mooloolaba before moving agencies. More than twenty years on and Mr Hughes hasn’t regretted the decision once and has decided to come back to the office where he first began his real estate journey.“I love real estate, probably because of my competitive nature which is why I also thrived playing sport,” Mr Hughes said.“Real estate is a competitive industry and there’s a lot of self-starting and building rapport that goes into doing it well. It’s something I’m really passionate about.“I’ve watched Ray White’s presence grow tremendously on the Sunshine Coast, particularly in the last two years, and I want to be a part of it again.”Mr Hughes has been an agent on the Sunshine Coast for more than 20 years and prides himself on his professionalism and hard work.“If you were to list or sell with me, you will get honesty, someone who will work hard and achieve the best results,” he said.“Your house is your number one asset, so I am committed to working tirelessly for my clients to get the best result.”Ray White Mooloolaba and Kawana Waters principals James Goldsworthy and Brent Higgins said they are excited to welcome Mr Hughes back to the team.“Well known, liked and respected in the local community Brett has many years of property experience in and around Mooloolaba,” they said.“As market leaders in Mooloolaba we strive to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and Brett's competitive and caring nature is a perfect fit for our team.”
