A MUCH loved contemporary family home in Perth’s blue chip riverfront precinct of Mosman Park has just hit the market at 1A Manning St.

Ray White Cottesloe | Mosman Park Director Jody Fewster said the character-laden four bedroom 3 bathroom two-storey home sat on a spacious family-sized block near the sprawling Bay View Park, Mosman Park Bowling Club and Mosman Bay foreshore.

“It’s a family house that just works. You are welcomed to the home by a manicured front garden, lush green lawns and a trickling water feature before seeing the stained Tasmanian Oak wooden floorboards and exquisite white plantation window shutters,” Ms Fewster said.

“There’s a fantastic separation in the floor plan which sees the sleeping quarters upstairs and the large entertaining areas downstairs.”

Home owners Timothy and Anna Johnston have raised their three children at the property over the past 15 years.

“We have done a lot of additions to the house over the years - we added the garage, worked on the garden plus added the pool. In fact we moved the kitchen into a different area to overlook the pool. The house has actually undergone a total remodelling over the years which has actually been a lot of fun,” said Dr Tim Johnston, a paediatric dentist at North Fremantle-based iKids Specialist Pediatric Dentistry.

“The house is in such a good area of the western suburbs, it’s an older established area which has such a wonderful lifestyle, all the amenities and great schools plus a real sense of community.

“We built our home to be an easy place to entertain and enjoy the great outdoors Perth lifestyle.

“We are minutes from the park and you can go for a paddleboard or swim at the beach which is not far at all.

“For us, it’s time to downsize as our children and now aged 23, 21 and 18 and we are almost empty-nesters.

“We’ll look to stay in the area as we love it here but this house needs a family.”

Ms Johnton said there were so many “lovely places to sit and relax in the house”.

“It’s very light and bright and you can see outdoors from every room which works beautifully with such a big wide verandah out the back.

“You can literally open the whole house up which is perfect for big family gatherings in the expansive backyard-lawn area.”

The house is only footsteps from Iona Presentation College, St Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls and bus stops, and the likes of Mosman Park Primary School, Mosman Park Golf Club, Mosman Park Train Station, shopping at Cottesloe Central and Claremont Quarter, Cottesloe Beach, cafes, restaurants, Presbyterian Ladies’ College and even Fremantle are all just a matter of minutes away in their own right.

The immaculate property is offered to the market by an expression of interest campaign, closing on March 25, if not sold prior.
