Gold Coast property package has a unique bonus thrown in
An enthusiastic homeowner has listed his waterfront home in Broadbeach Waters with Ray White Broadbeach selling agent Stuart Reeder, but that is not all he has listed.
An enthusiastic homeowner has listed his waterfront home in Broadbeach Waters with Ray White Broadbeach selling agent Stuart Reeder, but that is not all he has listed.
Owners Jim Merz and partner Sakura are not only selling the home, but also a block of four income producing units on the Gold Coast Highway in Miami - which have further development potential.
Not only are the two parcels of land up for sale, but the potential buyer will also score a Four Winns boat 2007 190 Bowrider with dry dock pontoon and a luxury 2002 Porsche Boxster convertible for free just by buying the packaged properties. The value of the boat and car is estimated at approximately $50-$60k.
According to Jim the pair own three cars and two boats and would rather they go to a new happy home than sit in storage.
“We don't like to store things, and after all, we are planning on travelling to Japan and Germany for a few months to meet our future in laws after we sell,” said Jim.
Jim, who is semi retired bought the unit block in Miami as an investment, and has since completed a number of renovations in order to increase the rental yield.
Selling agent Stuart Reeder said the income producing block of units had further development potential.
“The block has had a previous DA approval - it currently consists of four units in total. Three three bedroom units and one two bedroom unit currently return approximately $83,000.00 per annum,” said Stuart, adding that these sites are fast becoming rare so snap up.
The home at 120 Rio Vista Boulevard, Broadbeach Waters will be harder to let go for the couple.
“Most of all it’s the location,” said Jim, adding that it is only minutes to local school, Pacific Fair shopping centre and a vast range of entertainment.
Selling agent Stuart Reeder said there was also development potential for the home, “It has spectacular skyline views and their are plans to build a three level home with rooftop entertaining terrace.”
A fond memory for Jim and Sakura is their quirky trick to beat traffic. “Our experience is, that if we ever needed to beat the traffic, we’d just take the boat to go shopping. It was easy, and a lot more beautiful and scenic.”
According to Jim, another aspect he will miss is the morning visitors that would almost be knocking at their door every morning - black swans would often appear at the door waiting to be fed. “We do live in the heart of the Gold Coast, does not get any better.”
Jim hopes the future owners of the entire package will enjoy the lifestyle the Gold Coast has to offer, especially the proximity to some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches.
The auction will be held on Saturday 19 September at 10am at the Ray White Broadbeach Auction Rooms.
