Peter has extensive experience across New South Wales, Victoria and the Northern Territory within the agriculture and business sectors. He commenced his career in an accounting role with an agribusiness company before transitioning into livestock sales and purchasing, auctioneering, and real estate sales.
Peter further broadened his expertise by spending two years with the American company King Ranch in the Northern Territory, based at Brunette Downs. During this time, he gained valuable hands-on experience in large-scale stud cattle and breeding operations, along with a wide range of station duties.
In 1997, Peter commenced employment with the Federal Government as a Rural Counsellor, a role he held for ten years. He then moved to Cater & Blumer Lawyers in Griffith, where he worked full-time, further developing his professional skillset.
Peter’s qualifications are extensive and include mediation and negotiation training at Harvard Law School in Boston, mediation training through LEADR in Sydney, a Diploma of Community Services (Financial Counselling), and a Diploma of Community Services – Welfare Studies. He has also served as a Youth Conferencing Convenor with the Department of Juvenile Justice and as a mediator with Unifam through the Uniting Church.
In addition to his Australian experience, Peter has undertaken studies in Italy and worked internationally as a supervisor for a cattle export operation, accompanying livestock shipments to Japan.
Peter holds qualifications in Business Broking, Real Estate, and Stock & Station Agency, as well as a pilot’s licence, which he has utilised throughout his diverse career. His strong business acumen, combined with practical, hands-on industry knowledge, provides significant value to clients of Ray White Griffith.
