The four-bedroom, three-bathroom home at 29 Commercial Road, Hyde Park is being marketed by Ray White Prospect sales agent Rocco Perre.

The circa 1910 property has a price guide of $5 million to $5.5 million, with best offers by 4 May at 12 noon.

The home has been meticulously transformed by its owner Anna Standish- a Montessori childcare professional and former accountant - who worked alongside a premier architect to return the residence to its former glory.

Ms Standish, a keen golfer, said one of the most used rooms in the house was her golf simulation sanctuary.

“It was initially set up as a gym for the boys but now it’s been transformed,” she said.

“I use the room a lot, I enjoy playing golf, but you think I would be better with this here!”

Ms Standish, a mum-of-three, purchased the property in 2022.

She said the renovation masterfully bridges the gap between heritage elegance and contemporary scale, stripping away the old to make room for a breathtaking modern transformation.

Ms Standish said: “By removing dated extensions and restoring the iconic veranda and stone features, the project created a seamless flow between original pressed-metal ceilings and a striking, 4-meter-high modern rear extension”.

Inside, the floorplan offers scale and substance with two primary suites featuring walk-in robes and ensuites, plus two additional generous bedrooms.

The culinary heart of the home is a designer kitchen anchored by a 3.5-meter Statuario marble island, Gaggenau appliances, and a fully equipped butler’s pantry.

This space flows into an expansive living domain bathed in natural light, centered around a gas log fireplace and framed by floor-to-ceiling windows.

Ms Standish said her favourite part of the home was the kitchen and living areas.

“It’s light and airy and I love the way it flows,” she said.

“I love cooking and entertaining and these areas are the centre of my home and existence.”

With a keen interest in property renovations, Ms Standish said this was to be her forever home, however her children had moved out and she was looking to downsize.

She said the property would be ideal for another family, or a family looking to downsize from something bigger.
