The four-bedroom property at 24b Church Terrace, Walkerville is being marketed by Ray White Marion director Samuel Paton, via expressions of interest.

“This is a rare opportunity to bypass the lottery odds and move straight into a home that was curated by the best designers in the state,” Mr Paton said.

“It’s perfectly suited for a family that values high-end entertainment and architectural excellence.”

For the current owners, Bill and Sandra, the life-altering news they had won a fully furnished home worth $4.6 million plus $50,000 cash arrived during a routine 8am work meeting last year.

After a cryptic heads-up to stay near the phone, a second call an hour later changed everything, Bill said.

“They asked if I was sitting down as I could barely speak,” he said.

“When I got my wife, Sandra, on the line and they told her we had won - she almost swore because she simply didn't believe them.”

After moving into the home last October, the couple has spent the last few months enjoying the home’s resort-style luxury.

They spent the summer by the designer pool and even hosted a 50-guest engagement party for their daughter in February.

“This home is a premier entertainment space,” Bill said.

Since moving in, the couple has lived the ultimate luxury lifestyle, though they quickly realised the home’s celebrity status preceded them.

Hours after signing the paperwork, Bill was congratulated by a complete stranger at the local Walkers Arms Hotel.

“I walked in and they already knew who I was,” he laughed.

“In this neighbourhood, everyone knows it as ‘The Lottery Home.’”

The couple have now made the bittersweet decision to list the property for sale and find something more suited to their lifestyle.

“It’s simply too much house for just the two of us,” Bill said.

“We’ve loved every minute here, but we’re looking to downsize and move closer to the coast.”

Bill said a family would best suit the property as there was plenty of room for entertaining.
