The three-bedroom home at 78 Reinforcement Parade, North Coogee is being marketed by Ray White Dethridge Groves selling agents Simone Glover and Hayden Groves and goes under the hammer on 18 April.

Keith Cameron-Brown, a well-regarded local architectural designer, spent several years designing and hand-building his home as an owner-builder before moving in with his wife in late 2025.

“I have an obsession with having a lot of light in the house,” Mr Cameron-Brown said.

“Walls of glass run through all three levels, and the home is deliberately oriented at 30 degrees to capture the ocean outlook over the public open space opposite - land that can’t be built on.”

A feature of the home is the connection between indoor and outdoor living with soft curved walls enhancing both internal and external elevations.

Entering through a distinctive Corten Steel portico via a Western Red cedar pivoting door, visitors cross a timber bridge over a pond filled with water plants.

Mr Cameron-Brown described it as a placating element and refreshing in summer.

The pond is visible from a bedroom above through a glass roof, he said.

“Materials throughout were selected for longevity and coastal character, including the 4.2m high limestone walls to the front elevations.

“Honed concrete to the ground floor and Eastern States blackbutt timber to the two upper floors, along with 2.4m western red cedar doors and European Birch cabinetry provide warmth against the predominantly fresh white walls.

An Italian - made lift connects all three levels.

Mr Cameron-Brown said there is a large double garage which can be accessed from the side prominent corner block. It has a glass barn door to a private internal garden and a wash station for post beach use.

Mr and Mrs Cameron-Brown are selling to move into apartment life near the coast.

He said the home would suit a retired couple wanting something unique and maintenance free, a professional couple or a young family.

“The park across the road has barbecues, ping pong tables, basketball hoops, a soccer goal and children's playground,” Mr Cameron-Brown said.

The South Fremantle lifestyle precinct is moments away, he said.
