He pointed to the group's 124-year history as a source of confidence, noting the network has "navigated, collaborated, and ultimately grown through any number of challenges by staying true to our fundamental values."
Mr Snell singled out the network's auction heritage, tracing it back to the word "Auctioneer" painted beneath the Ray White name on the very first office in Crows Nest, and to Brian White's trademarking of "Competition Creators", a phrase he said the network was only now fully appreciating the value of, "as so many members work hard to understand the art of auctions in this market."
He also highlighted the growing power of the network's technology, saying NurtureCloud was allowing members to tap into the "network effect" in a way "never seen before," connecting prestige markets, regional hubs, lifestyle, coastal and mining towns alike. He paid particular tribute to the strength of regional NSW, noting that as metropolitan transaction volumes slowed through the year, key regional hubs "showed incredible resilience, acting as market leaders."
Growth through recruitment and the development of new talent was another highlight, with Mr Snell pointing to continued improvement in average productivity and a steady flow of new members joining the now more than 3,000-strong Ray White family across NSW and the ACT.
Mr Snell also used the evening to acknowledge those who support Ray White members from behind the scenes. "We also want to take a moment to recognise those who support your dreams from home, the partners and families who motivate and support us, regardless of what the world throws at us, tonight is for you too," he said, before thanking his corporate team and event organisers for their efforts in bringing the night together.
"This is such an important evening for us all to share together, to reflect on how far we've come, and to look outward to the immense runway and opportunities that lay ahead. Together we will prosper."
Ray White Upper North Shore and Northern Beaches was awarded the No.1 Business for the fifth consecutive year, capping off its best year of growth to date.
In accepting the award, Ray White Upper North Shore and Northern Beaches principal David Walker said adversity builds character, but what we've learned over the last six to 12 months is that adversity reveals character.
He thanked the team and Ray White Corporate. “We are the best group in the country. We recruit the best, and we retain the best. And it's because of the leadership you guys show us. To Ray White Upper North Shore and Northern Beaches, I love you guys, and let's get on with it,” he said.
Ray White Double Bay was recognised for its significant achievements on the night, taking home the No.1 Office award in New South Wales | ACT and also No. 1 International Office.
Business owners Elliott Placks and Michael Krimotat were also awarded the coveted CEO’s Cup.
Ray White Double Bay principal and managing director Elliott Placks said the CEO’s Cup was a very special award. “This was one award that we always wanted to win. Because it's not one that you actually get from your revenue but it's one that the family and corporate acknowledge for the efforts and achievements, so you earn it over time,” Mr Placks said.
“I've been with Ray White for 23 years, which is over half my life and it's been an enjoyable ride.” He acknowledged Ray White “for everything you guys do to invest back into the business, like NurtureCloud, and all these extra technology platforms that we benefit from, and our teams benefit from. We are lucky to have corporate as much as corporate are lucky to have us. It's a great partnership.”
He said being recognised as the number one office internationally again was “a remarkable achievement”.
“Everyone in our team supports each other - it’s where a lot of our collaboration happens,” Mr Placks said.
The No.1 Business - Number of Sales, and also No. 1 International Multi-Partner Group - Number of Sales, went to Ray White Macarthur and Nepean Group.
Ray White Macarthur Group & Ray White Nepean Group director Mark Jennings said he was extremely proud of his team for the hard work and dedication they display every single day.
"We are extremely honoured to help so many customers on their real estate journey. We know that if we keep the customer at the heart of every transaction, good things come and we will continue to grow,” Mr Jennings said.
“We are so excited to see the evolution of our emerging leaders within our business too. Tim Doyle and I are super proud of the whole team - we have just over 200 team members in our group now and we are still growing.”
