In a major coup for the new business, Illawarra’s own radio legend, Marty Haynes, is transitioning from a storied career in media to real estate, joining Ray White Five Islands Group as a key brand ambassador and agent.

Marty brings unparalleled community trust to the business, having started as a cameraman for Channel 9 working for the legendary Graham Kennedy before spending 22 years as a fixture of Illawarra breakfast radio.

He is also widely recognised as the founder of the Illawarra Convoy, which has raised more than $30 million for local families.

Director Daniel Norris said the goal is to provide a service that offers a holistic approach to off-the-plan sales and house and land packages, whether for a first-time investor or a family looking to upsize, creating a streamlined pathway to homeownership.

Daniel said the launch marks the beginning of a strategic 10 to 15-year phase for the team, focusing on significant land releases throughout the Illawarra Region

The launch of Ray White Five Islands Group will be backed by a sophisticated marketing strategy, heavily utilising radio - a medium where both Marty and the Ray White brand excel.

Marty said: “Graham Kennedy always taught me to go out on a high”.

“After 22 years on the breakfast program, I wanted a new challenge. I’ve known Daniel and his family for years; I trust their vision and the strength of the Ray White brand,” Marty said.

“Real estate is about people and community - two things I’ve dedicated my life to.”

Ray White New South Wales/ACT CEO Tim Snell said the launch of Ray White Five Islands Group represents a significant milestone with the expansion across Illawarra.

“Bringing a community icon like Marty into the Ray White family is a true testament to the strength of Daniel and Jen’s leadership,” Tim said.

“Marty’s name is synonymous with integrity and the Illawarra spirit.

“By combining his deep-rooted local connection with the scale and technology of the Ray White brand, the Five Islands Group is positioned to offer a level of trust and reach that is simply unmatched in the local market.”
