Ray White runs its Real Estate of Origin events three times a year to create friendly rivalry and banter between the states and New Zealand, with 3,597 people registered for the event.

The competition ran even deeper with sales agents competing against sales associates and property managers.

Ray White chief strategy officer (real estate) Mark McLeod said: “This was our third Real Estate of Origin for the year and one of our most important yet”.

“At the heart of it is something very simple, connecting with our communities, having more conversations and making sure our customers understand what’s happening in their local market,” Mr McLeod said.

“Powered by NurtureCloud, our agents can use their Smart Call Lists to identify the customers most likely to be considering their next move, helping them have the right conversation at the right time.

“Real Estate of Origin brings enormous energy and focus to those fundamentals. More conversations create more appraisals, more appraisals create more opportunities, and ultimately that’s how we help our agents build stronger businesses while staying closer to their customers.”

Ray White members across Australia and New Zealand really got behind REOO to kick off the year, making almost 119,135 calls and booking more than 9,843 appraisals, he said.

This time the group had 390 offices participating.

Queensland once again led the charge, securing top honours across sales agents, sales associates, BDMs and property managers, with 2,932 appraisals. New Zealand followed with 2,535, and Victoria | Tasmania contributed 2,295, collectively driving momentum that will fuel listings and sales in the months ahead.

Ray White Manukau once again claimed the Top Appraising Office title with 631  appraisals, while their wider group (Manukau | Manurewa | Mangere Bridge | Mangere| Auckland Central | Wynyard Quarter) earned Top Appraising Group with a total of 754. Individually, Sophie McKinnon from Ray White Sunnybank topped the leaderboard for sales agents, powered by Concierge.

The Top Calling Office award went to Ray White Manukau  with 3,989  calls, while the top calling group Ray White Manukau | Manurewa | Mangere Bridge | Mangere| Auckland Central | Wynyard Quarter. The top calling sales person was Ben Palavi of Ray White Manukau.

More than 312  property managers and BDMs joined the action, proving REOO is far more than a sales-only event. Each state deployed unique call hooks, turning conversations into opportunities

In Melbourne, Ray White Judd White Group | Glen Waverley | Forest Hill Managing Director Dexter Prack said REOO was a Halloween-themed day packed with inspiration, enthusiasm and great energy.

“Our team loved coming together, sharing lunch and enjoying some fantastic team bonding,” Mr Prack said.

“Most importantly, we left fired up with energy and renewed enthusiasm to drive appraisals -  the most important ingredient in building future business right now.

“We have committed to adding this to our annual calendar of events and may even come up with our own concept.”

In sunny Queensland, Ray White Beenleigh principal Glenn Hamilton said: “We always take part in REOO because we love the interaction within the team and it also achieves a great purpose of creating appraisals”.

“The benefits are that we do something together as a group while having fun and creating some internal competition,” Mr Hamilton said.

“It's a day that the team look forward to and we have the benefit of both property management and sales embracing the whole event.

“We always have a theme and it's a fun-filled day. Particularly with the market how it is, we’ve got to have some fun and forget for a while how hard everyone is working at the moment.”

In Western Australia, Ray White Whiteman & Associates director David Whiteman said REOO was a “really fruitful” exercise.

Mr Whiteman said his team has extended the REOO concept and put in place a “Spring Surge” event from September to November where businesses are running REOO weekly for three hours.
