The business has been purchased from respected industry figure Michael Willems, who will remain with the office as a sales agent, returning his focus to what he is best known for; high-performance selling.

Mr Willems is widely regarded as a standout performer and long-standing member of the Ray White Group. After stepping into ownership with the Main Beach office, he has made the decision to refocus his energy on sales, where his passion and strengths lie.

“Both Mitch and I have watched in awe as Michael and his team have spent the majority of their careers dedicated to high performance,” said Christian Hamilton. “To see this performance up close and personal as their leaders is incredibly special and an honour. Michael is one of the best operators in the business; his ability to lead by example through performance is second to none. As we like to say, ‘be like Mike.’”

Mitch Peereboom said the transition reflects a broader philosophy around leadership and performance. “We specialise in putting people in positions where they can truly thrive. For Michael, that’s in sales. For us, it’s in leadership. We are non-selling principals, which allows us to dedicate our time to supporting our agents and helping them achieve success at the highest level.”

The acquisition of the Main Beach office represents a natural extension of the group’s footprint, building on their strong presence in Surfers Paradise. Main Beach shares a postcode with Surfers Paradise but offers a distinct market profile, with a higher proportion of owner-occupiers, more premium properties, and a slightly older demographic. Known for its boutique apartment living and strong sense of community, the suburb provides a strategic and cultural fit for the group.

Located along Tedder Avenue, the office sits at the centre of the Main Beach village, surrounded by cafes, restaurants, and a steady flow of local foot traffic.

“Main Beach makes perfect sense for us,” Mr Peereboom said. “It’s an extension of what we’re already doing, but with a different demographic. It’s a tightly held, community-driven market, and that’s something we really value.”

Mr Hamilton added that the suburb shares similarities with Wilston in Brisbane's inner-north, the other key area where the group operates. “It’s the kind of place where locals gather, where relationships matter, and where people genuinely enjoy being part of the community.”

Christian Hamilton and Mitch Peereboom have built a reputation for high-performance leadership, with a strong focus on agent development and results. Since stepping into leadership roles, their businesses have recorded approximately 90 per cent year-on-year growth in agent performance.

“Our entire model is centred around the agent experience,” Mr Hamilton said. “We’re not selling with leadership on the side, we’re fully focused on coaching, mentoring, and creating an environment where agents can succeed, whatever success looks like to them.”

“We already have some incredible performers in the business,” Mr Peereboom added. “Our goal is to continue to grow and attract agents who want to push to the next level. The rising tide raises all boats, and we’re seeing that in the performance across our group.”

With the addition of Main Beach, the group is positioning itself among the top-performing businesses within Ray White Queensland, with a clear focus on continued growth and performance.

“In the first 12 months, we want to continue building momentum,” Mr Hamilton said. “There is still capacity in the Main Beach office for high performers who want to be part of an environment that supports and challenges them to improve.”

Michael Willems said he is looking forward to returning to his core focus. “I’m excited to get back to what I love most; working closely with clients and delivering results.”

Jason Andrew, CEO of Ray White Queensland, said the acquisition reflects the strength of Mr Hamilton and Mr Peereboom’s leadership.

“Christian and Mitch have consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and a genuine commitment to their people,” Mr Andrew said. “Their expansion into Main Beach strengthens the Ray White presence in one of Queensland’s most established coastal markets, and our best years are ahead of us.”

"The fact that an operator of Michael Willems' calibre has chosen to work with Mitch and Christian, tells you all you need to know about their leadership capability."
