Power, whose family has been synonymous with Brisbane hospitality for generations, is preparing to open a second venue, The Norman Northside at Enoggera, as the couple's three children, once in primary school when the family moved in, have now all grown up.

The property they leave behind is something else entirely.

The c.1930s Spanish Mission estate sits atop a gated 1,376sqm parcel on Hamilton Hill, commanding sweeping panoramas to the Brisbane River, the Gateway Bridge, Port and Moreton Bay.

Facing due east, the home catches every sunrise while escaping the afternoon western sun, a detail Power knows well after more than a decade of entertaining there.

"We did a lot of entertaining at Markwell Street," Power said. "The guest wing means it's really set up for it but we are basically empty nesters now and it's time for another family to enjoy it.”

This trophy house is immense.

The residence spans six bedrooms, four bathrooms, three powder rooms and six-car garaging. A Miele kitchen, dedicated wine cellar, steam room, private gym and resort-style pool round out a home that blurs the line between private residence and boutique retreat. A dumbwaiter, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, soaring 3.1-metre ceilings and imported doors complete the picture.

The Mediterranean gardens, stocked with citrus, herbs, chillies and limes, reflect the family's love of good food and good company. "Perfect for a G&T or a mojito," Power said.

The original home dates to the 1930s, with a significant renovation carried out by previous owner Dave Allen between 1999 and 2000, which added the top-level entertaining area and gym. The Powers have since added their own touches, including retiling the pool surrounds in travertine.

Accommodation is extensive, comprising seven bedrooms, an office and a study, alongside rare six-car garage parking. The primary suite is a sanctuary unto itself, opening to a private balcony that captures the Brisbane River.

The property is being marketed through Ray White Collective Luxury principal Matt Lancashire, who described Hamilton as one of the most coveted addresses in the country.

Lancashire said Hamilton, perched on the river with its long views and large blocks, was widely regarded as one of Brisbane’s premier, blue-chip suburbs, consistently ranked among the most desirable and expensive areas in the city.

“Known for its elevated position, river views, and luxury homes, Hamilton is a top choice for affluent buyers.”

Lancashire recently launched Ray White Collective Luxury as Brisbane's first agency dedicated exclusively to homes valued at $4 million and above. With more than 20 years in the Ray White Group and $1.5 billion in residential transactions, he has negotiated more $10 million-plus sales than any other agent in the Queensland capital.

The property is being offered via Expressions of Interest, closing Friday 8 May at 5:00pm, if not sold prior.
