The result is a state-of-the-art indoor sports arena that has become the heart of the home.
“When we bought the property, we were attracted to the large open space laid out for entertaining, large bedrooms, and the mountain range view and sunsets,” Ms Lin said.
“The kids also loved the indoor pool. It was in great condition and solidly built but lacked the modern touch.
“As the kids grew older and did less swimming and wanted room for exercise and me wanting a space to do pilates.
“We toyed with the idea of converting the pool to either an indoor-outdoor space.”
Engineered for versatility, the court features provisions for a legitimate volleyball net, a professional basketball hoop, and a dedicated zone for pilates and yoga.
“We all came to the idea of an indoor basketball/multi-purpose court,” Ms Lin said.
“It has been a great space for our annual Christmas party and our kids' birthday parties.”
Ms Lin said every family member has a favourite room within the house.
“My son enjoys playing basketball with his high school friends and practising his volleyball drills at the basketball court, and my husband is also a fan of the basketball court as he hosts his parties - especially his annual Christmas games with family and friends.
“My daughter's favourite is the roof top where she has many great memories with friends having sleep overs at the roof top and star gazing.”
