YOUNG gun agents Jared Johnson and Lachlan Marshall from Ray White Commercial / Industrial Gold Coast just sold the iconic Iceland site on the Gold Coast for $270,000 over reserve.

The pair sold 15 Strathaird Rd, Bundall for $2.470M at auction late last week, which was $270,000 over its reserve.

“This was an iconic property on the Gold Coast as the tenant “Gold Coast Iceland” has occupied the premises for over 20 years. “I have such nostalgic memories of going to birthday parties there growing up,” Mr Johnson said.

“The new owner is an investor from Port Macquarie. There were 15 registered bidders in the room and close to 150 people watching the action unfold. Many of them just came to watch,” he said.

Mr Marshall said it was such an iconic Gold Coast building.

"We have miles of beautiful beaches on the Gold Coast but only one ice-skating rink, and everyone knows it. It is a going concern and not going anywhere," Mr Marshall said.

The property was sold by a local family trust, and the agents had at least 69 inquiries on the property during its campaign.
