ONE of the most exciting properties along Sydney’s popular northern beaches is creating a stir among keen buyers.

The world-class resort-style home at 1903-1905 Pittwater Rd, Bayview is being marketed by Ray White Prestige | Palm Beach principal Noel Nicholson via an expressions of interest campaign with a price guide of $8.2 million to $9 million.

John and Jenny Bassetto secured the 1,517sq m parcel of prime land to create their dream home.

“Having lived in Asia for 24 years and reaching retirement age, we took the best of both worlds to design our home,” Mr Bassetto said.

Mr Bassetto was Senior Adviser at Chubb Limited, and prior to 2010 served as Chief Executive Officer and President at ACE Asia Pacific at ACE INA Holdings, Inc.

The couple recruited architect Paris Spana to design a six-bedroom, six-bathroom double-storey home which takes full advantage of the spectacular Pittwater views.

“Essential in the plan were full ensuites in every bedroom and separate entertaining areas,” Mr Bassetto said.

“We had a young son and two daughters who were teenagers so the design would allow the parents to entertain, whilst other areas were occupied for the their (teenager) entertaining.”

Mr Bassetto described the home as a “party house” with its swim-up bar, games/sports room and theatre.

“Having said all that, this house is designed for raising a family and enjoying the privacy and quiet of just sitting and looking at the view of kayaks, boats and paddle boarders or the stunning outlook down to Lion Island,” he said.

Mr Nicholson said he’s been blown away by the early level of interest in this extraordinary property.

“Architecturally designed to take full advantage of a level double block and spectacular Pittwater views, this is a remarkable residence by every standard,” Mr Nicholson said.

“It’s an inspired expression of modern, sophisticated interiors matched with resort-like amenities; the resulting design can accommodate the largest of families with ease and style.”

The vast 610sq m home also includes six ensuited bedrooms, most opening to terraces, as well as a stunning, stone-topped kitchen with scullery and integrated Miele appliances.
