AUSTRALIA’S largest real estate brand has now opened its doors in the western Victorian rural and gourmet hub of Timboon.

Ray White Rural Timboon opened with stock and station agent and auctioneer Gerard Delaney at the helm, with sales agent Jennifer Neale.

Both Ms Neale and Mr Delaney are both passionate and proud rural Australian advocates, with strong interests in local agribusiness and international investment processes.

“The time is right for me to open my business and I felt very strongly about opening a franchised office within a big corporate group that is 100 per cent Australian owned,” Mr Delaney said.

“We are real people, offering real service. I am so passionate and I am very excited about opening my business to service the needs of the Timboon community,” he said.

“We are really seeing our village really come of age. Timboon has become a gourmet food mecca.

“The Timboon Railway Shed Distillery is a producer of single malt Australian whisky and liqueurs in Timboon. There’s some amazing cheese makers here plus strawberries and a chocolate factory. The distillery takes its name from its location in the goods shed at the terminus of the former Timboon railway line.”

Mr Delaney, an experienced stock and station agent, has been an auctioneer in just about every state in Australia.

“I have had a lot of experience in the dairy industry for many years. I have got to meet a lot of people and make a lot of contact. I just had an urge to make things a bit shiner and decided to move to Ray White.

“I felt the enthusiasm at Ray White with everyone and I know it will provide the best platform for growth for my vendors.

“We only wanted to work for an Australian owned franchise, that was very important to me and I love the Ray White history from a tin shed in regional Australia over 116 years ago to now the biggest group in Australasia."

Stephen Nell, CEO of Ray White Rural, said it was great to see Gerard Delaney opening his business in Timboon.

“Gerard is such a well-known and respected agent of the local community and a highly valued member of our organisation,” Mr Nell said.

“We are thrilled to support Gerard as he grows his business and cements his team as the leader in the Timboon residential and rural markets,” he said.
