A rare opportunity to secure a waterfront property in Birchgrove is available through Ray White Balmain.

Speaking of the prominence of the area, marketing agent, Dominik Cotton, says Australian actor, Bryan Brown, lives on the street and the house immediately next door sold for $11.1m in 2009, one of the highest prices on the peninsula to date.

“Properties in this area don’t move regularly because the homes and location are some of the best in Sydney,” he said.

With expansive harbour views and a 70 metre private wharf - arguably the biggest on the harbour - the luxurious residence at 4/19a Wharf Road, Birchgrove was built in 2009 is the most modern on the street.

“Wharf Road is one of two waterfront streets in Birchgrove and the majority of the properties are heritage listed Victorian terraces and are set back from the water. This property, whilst part of a strata title, is a freestanding house and is the only one of its kind in the complex,” Dominik explains.

Having only had the one owner, Dorry Kordahi, purchased the property for $4.24m. Mr Kordahi is the founder of the company DKM Blue and is currently ranked in the BRW young rich list.

“Dorry has made extensive renovations to the property and even purchased an additional 30-40m² to add extra outdoor living space including a 6.5 metre pool,” Dominik said.

Featuring four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and dual kitchen, living and dining areas, the property offers space and privacy.

“The design of the home is a masterpiece. No expense nor luxury was overlooked in the renovations.

“The buyer has the option to purchase the property with the furniture included - all of which has been custom made for the home.

“It’s a home that has everything,” Dominik concludes.

The property at 4/19a Wharf Road Birchgrove is on the market with a price guide of $7.5m+
