FROM its jaw-dropping indoor pool, sophisticated design and breathtaking ocean view, 5 Shelton St is an iconic architectural masterpiece and potential record breaker.

The five bedroom beachside mansion with attached three bedroom annex is now on the market through Ray White Rockingham Baldivis agent Daniel Ialacci. The property is scheduled for auction on December 9 at 6:30pm and will take place at the Ray White WA corporate office in Perth. The sellers are now looking to downsize and plan to move closer to family in the city.

Mr Ialacci said the sale is expected to break all previous sale records in the area.

“The enquiry has been quite high with buyers ranging from Perth locals to interstate interest as well. It’s only been about a week and already we are getting national interest,” Mr Ialacci said.

“Everyone who walks in says they love the size of the property and the panoramic vistas which are some of the best I’ve ever seen."

There has been an influx of buyers, forced to work at home, who are now considering a change of scenery. Mr Ialacci said the home represents an amazing opportunity for city buyers wanting an idyllic seachange, right on the water.

“As a sign of positive times and an increased demand for beach front properties, people are now choosing to live where they love and work from home thanks to advancements in technology,” he said.

The sellers built the Waikiki mansion in 1995 and since then the house has become somewhat of an icon in the area. The beautifully designed indoor pool, complete with dolphin mosaics, was built inside with the sellers’ grandchildren in mind. With their large family, it was important for them to be able to keep them all central - even when having a dip in the pool.

“The home is iconic and everyone in the local area knows it. There is nothing even close to what this property has to offer in the area,” Mr Ialacci said.

“The inside is just as amazing as the outside, with the indoor pool, wine cellar and entertaining areas. I’ve never had a listing with an indoor pool built to accommodate a family in this way, so it is definitely a unique selling point that has been quite popular.”

With a prized beachfront aspect on an elevated block, the Waikiki beachside estate sprawls 1100sqm. Set out over three levels, the Waikiki mansion has its very own temperature controlled private cellar, ocean views, gourmet kitchen and grand master bedroom.
