THE RAY WHITE GROUP has 445 auctions across Australasia this week, with 292 occurring this Saturday.

Sydney is almost back to normal this week, just the straggling end of the school holidays with which to contend.

With 108 inspections in just over three weeks of opens, 25 Moore St Drummoyne is looking like a hot ticket auction.

“We’ve issued 12 contracts so far,” says Ray White Drummoyne agent Jessica Carbone. “And we’re expecting six or so bidders. Most of the interest has come from people from around Balmain and Birchgrove, looking to take the next step up to buying a large, family home.”

You could fit two Balmain homes on this block, plus it is beautifully renovated, with private and pretty street appeal.

It has a guide of $2m, and hits the auction block at 10am.

Heritage Haven at 834 Old Northern Rd, Middle Dural is one of those rare properties that offers so many options while still within the Sydney market. You can’t help but think somebody will snap this up and either land bank it or develop it.

The 1880’s farmhouse and land has been in the one family for the last 30 odd years, and has kept many of the original features intact - the old fireplace from the original laundry shed, now out in a field, is priceless.

Ray White Agent Sandy Ward says the block size, at a tad over 4,000sqm lends itself to either becoming one of those amazing Dural mansion properties, or any number of commercial ventures such as a function centre or gallery. She is quoted as receiving her first offer on the block 30 seconds after the listing went live.

Plus Heritage Haven has a well. Who wouldn’t want their own well? It’s going to auction at 10am. Bring your own wishes.

Blacktown has had some impressive sales lately, and 12 Baker Street has seen a lot of action during the campaign with 70 groups through and 20 contracts requested.

Ray White Blacktown City's Mahendra Lamsal has seen quite a few repeat inspections, and says the property has been inspected by some with an eye to extensions on the big block.

With a realistic vendor bidding, which starts at 1.00pm, should be enthusiastic.

A Brisbane beauty starts our Queensland section. Inspections have been running hot and heavy over this rather sexy two storey, five bedroom home in Bulimba. Ray White New Farm agent Nick Given reports 50 groups have had a very close look at the architecturally designed 32 Princess Street.

“The way kitchen and living areas flow through to the outside is the most popular design feature these days, and this place has done it,” says Mr Given. It doesn’t hurt that the outside includes a gorgeous pool, and a privacy wall of well behaved bamboo.

Lashings of black, timber accents and loads of family space have added to the popularity - plus the house feels brand new. No work to be done, space to hide the kids and an easy stroll to buzzy Oxford Street.

Chris Given will be on site taking down names and numbers at midday.

Perfect for multigenerational holidays but without the frightening Visa bill. Hidden from view, and with direct access to the beautiful Wonga Beach is 59-61 Wonga Rd, in Far North Queensland.

With a total of eight beds and any number of pavilions and verandas, this is resort living, just an easy one hours coastal drive from Cairns. Stunning gardens and solar power add to the attractions.

Extra interest in this sale is offered via the distinct possibility of extra income via airbnb style rental, as there are two two-bedroom holiday houses in the mix here.

Ray White Port Douglas' Mark Flinn is holding the auction on Saturday at 10am.

Adelaide is serving up something very special this week. You can see why this street is so popular just by looking at this period character home at 11 Azalea St.

Ray White Prospect agent Nick Beneke says the area is very tightly held which could explain the great numbers through, and multiple pre-auction offers.

“It is the best street in the area by far, 20 metre frontage, and beautiful character homes. You might get only one or two sales in this whole street per year. People tend to stay 20 or 30 years once they get in,” said Mr Beneke.

The entry way is just fabulous - all character, but not run-of-the-mill character. This is a beauty.

The 70 inspection groups have also been drawn by the huge block, which has ample room for a house extension and an Olympic pool. (well, maybe not Olympic but you know what I mean.)

The feedback has been around the mid $900,000s and Nick believes this one will make an exciting auction event.

In Victoria now. With only a 40 minute commute into Melbourne's CBD there has been strong interest in this four bedroom home at 45 Dalmeny Way, Mernda.

Ray White South Morang agent Petar Djeparoski has seen 30 groups through the executive style residence, with seven repeat inspections.

"I expect we'll see three or four bidders," says the agent. "It's a good suburb, and it has appeal for both down sizers and first home buyers."

A big family house has been interesting locals and those from further afield in Caulfield.

The substantial two level, five bedroom home has seen 56 groups come through - including three who have gone for the hat trick and been through three times.

Ray White Forest Hill agent Janelle Gu believes this is a good omen for the auction.
"They come back with their wife, or husband, and then the whole family - it is always a good sign," said the agent.

The property, at 7 Condos Court, Wantirna South , a mere 40 minute commute to Melbourne's CBD has a price guide of $1.15-$1.26m, and the auction is scheduled for a 1pm kick off.
