AROUND 220 Ray White auctions are scheduled for this Saturday across the country, with a decline in Queensland's auction volume due to the Labour Day long weekend.

More than 90 Ray White auctions are scheduled across New South Wales on May 4, including two in the morning on Hereford St, Forest Lodge.

Ray White Taylor and Partners director James Peach is taking a three-bedroom renovated beauty at 126 Hereford St (above) to auction at 9am, with a price guide of $2.1 million.

“A lot of owner-occupiers are looking,” Mr Peach said.

“Mainly young couples and downsizers. The home has been beautifully renovated, with traditional aspects maintained while other areas have been updated. It’s just a very beautiful home with attractive land size, parking and traditional character.”

Another stylish Victorian terrace, this one at 178 Hereford St (above), is going under the hammer at 10am through Ray White Surry Hills' Matthew Carvalho.

The home is impressive as is, but offers potential to create a contemporary masterpiece with previously approved DA plans drawn up by award-winning Welsh + Major Architects for an extension across both levels.

At 2pm, a classic terrace with modern updates on one of Annandale’s quiet leafy streets is going to auction through Ray White Petersham director Nicholas Arena.

The traditional two-storey home at 16 Young St (above) has attracted mainly first home buyers.

“It’s a good opportunity for someone as it does need a little bit of work but has the bones there,” Mr Arena said.

“We’ve had feedback around $1.2 million”.

Late in the day at 4.30pm, a quaint character home on a large 876sq m parcel of near level land is going to auction through Ray White Hornsby’s Jaime Garrick.

Mr Garrick said the home at 2 Heath St, Asquith (above) was built almost 100 years ago for the local railway workers.

“It was extended around 25 years ago with a great rumpus/studio which has been turned into a wonderful entertaining space including a bar,” he said.

There’s also an inground pool, three garden sheds and 4000L water tanks.

The price guide is $1.2 million.

To Melbourne where a medical clinic-turned contemporary family home is available to buy under the hammer at 10am through Ray White Preston’s Ian Dempsey.

The renovated clinker brick property at 68 Oakhill Ave, Reservoir (above) is in the prestigious Oakhill Estate.

“It’s very hard to find a turnkey where it’s all done for you,” Mr Dempsey said.

“They’ve kept a lot of period charm at the front and gone full contemporary at the back.”

The four-bedroom, two-bathroom home has an indicative selling price of $890,000 to $970,000.

Also at 10am, Ray White Gladstone Park director Malek Younan is expecting a good turnout at the auction of 6 Glendale Place, Gladstone Park (above).

The renovated brick four-bedroom home has an indicative selling price of $620,000 to $650,000.

“It’s a big home, good for young families and fully renovated with a nice decking area, garage, pool and close to amenities like schools and public transport,” Mr Younan said.

“We’ve had over 120 groups through already.”

Ray White Craigieburn’s Trish Orrico will again be wielding the hammer this Saturday when she calls the 11am auction of 24 Domain Way, Craigieburn (above).

“It’s always been an investment property,” Ms Orrico said.

“It’s a corner block in a great location, a very good little pocket. It’s walking distance to a lot of amenities too so that’s been a main drawcard. The price guide is $480,000 to $520,00.”

At 1pm, Ray White Manningham’s Jarrod Tyler is expecting the auction of 12 Stanhope Court, Ringwood (above) to be a cracker.

The three-bedroom brick property is being sold with a price guide of $650,000 to $710,000.

“The main features, other than the location, is the fact that the home has two separate living areas and a deck,” Mr Tyler said.

“For this price point, that’s amazing. First home buyers are keen to have the work done so it’s sensational value.”

On Queensland’s beautiful Gold Coast, Troy Dowker is taking yet another beachside gem to auction at midday.

The Ray White Mermaid Beach agent said 36 O’Connor St, Tugun (above) was recently updated.

“The seller bought it 18 months go and renovated it,” Mr Dowker said.

“It’s a timeless style, a replica of homes in the eastern suburbs or Paddington. On beachfront landscape there’s only two (on the Gold Coast). from my understanding, like this.”

In Perth, families are loving the cul-de-sac location of 10 Zuvela Court, Murdoch (above) which is going under the hammer at 1pm local time.

“We’ve probably had around 40 enquiries ranging from young couples in the area looking for a larger home to people in the fringe southern areas who want to get much closer to the city,” Ray White Fremantle’s Noel Rogers said.

“The cul-de-sac position is extra special because it’s a cul-de-sac off another cul-de-sac so it’s extremely quiet.”
