FREE coffee for a year is the pitch to house hunters looking at a home on Brisbane’s southside.

The 606sq m property with a swimming pool is one of more than 250 Ray White Group listings scheduled for auction this Saturday.

Ray White Springwood/Daisy Hill agent Tracey Steuart said the sellers of 70 Brentwood Drive, Daisy Hill were fans of the local Zarraffa’s so a deal had been struck to secure the buyer a year’s supply of coffee.

“We’ve had about 45 groups through, mainly loving the in-ground pool and the location which is close to John Paul College,” Ms Steuart said.

The three-bedroom home is around 20 minutes from Brisbane’s CBD and 30 minutes from the Gold Coast.

It will go to auction at 5pm.

One for investors is a post-war home (above) on two lots within 10kms of Brisbane’s CBD which is going to auction at midday through Ray White Alderley’s Janine McDonald.

“It’s been a long-term investment for the one family who are now looking to do something else,” Ms McDonald said of 55 Alderley Ave, Alderley.

“Interest has been from mum and dad investors to developers. It’s zoned residential so you can put two houses on it, sell off the land, build two houses and sell off one. I’ve spoken to buyers’ agents too, both local and from interstate, as it’s the perfect property for investors to landbank. There’s a strong demand for inner-city land as more people are looking to build new homes close to the CBD.”

Brisbane first-home buyers have been showing the most interest in a single-storey brick home (above) that needs no work at 19 Lindeman Place, Tingalpa.

Ray White Manly’s Simon Pearson is taking the three-bedroom property to auction at 11am.

“It’s great for a young family or retiree because it’s lowset,” Mr Pearson said.

“I’ve had 47 groups through. It’s in very good condition with a double-car garage and swimming pool.”

A deceased estate in Sydney’s northern suburbs is on the market for the first time in more than 40 years.

The home at 96 Sutherland Rd, Beecroft (above) was built in 1916, and has only had two owners including the current family who purchased the property in 1977.

“We’ve had good numbers through the open houses during the auction campaign,” Ray White Beecroft’s Douglas Macarthur said.

“It’s only had the two owners which is unusual for homes in the area. The family is well-known locally.”

Mr Macarthur said the 1,384sq m property was attractive to families for a number of reasons.

“It’s only 250 metres to Beecroft train station and falls into the catchment for sought-after schools,” he said.

“It’s close to shops and buses into the city. It’s also one of the most level blocks of land in Beecroft which is appealing to families with kids.”

The other advantage was the size of the land, which Mr Macarthur said was a drawcard for extended families or buyers looking for extra pocket money.

“We’re seeing a change in culture of having these big backyards for kids to run around in now being used to drop in granny flats for extended family or to rent out,” he said.

Records (including the above) show the double-brick home's original owners, the Morgan family, sold the three-bedroom house with two sunrooms to John and Silvia Lambert at auction for $59,000.

Renovations have extended the layout, which now includes four bedrooms, while retaining beautiful character features including leadlight windows and cast iron fireplaces.

Opening bids on 96 Sutherland Rd, Beecroft will be called for at 1.30pm.

Still in Sydney, at 3pm, is the auction of a semi-detached home (above) at 55 Alexandra St, Drummoyne managed by Ray White Drummoyne director Chris Wilkins.

The two-bedroom, one-bathroom character residence is ripe for renovation, according to Mr Wilkins, who also flagged its top location which is walking distance to the ferry, waterfront parks and local cafe scene.

With a price guide of $1.5 million, Mr Wilkins said the property offered great space to improve.

“It’s a big semi, land, home with dual street access allowing for rear access with garage approval,” he said.

“Paint, polish, do the cosmetic work and enjoy the amazing location.”

Malek Younan’s back with the gavel this Saturday in Melbourne for the 11am auction of a new home (above) in the heart of Tullamarine at 1/13 Waratah Ave.

“A 20sq townhouse in Tullamarine you just don’t get,” the Ray White Gladstone Park director said.

“To the best of my knowledge, three have sold in the last three years that have been over 18.5sq so it’s rare.”

Mr Younan said the location of the “mini house” was a huge plus, being surrounded by schools, Melrose Drive shops and cafes, Westfield Airport West, public transport and parks.

He’s attached a price guide of $600,000 to $650,000.

More than 40 groups have inspected 5/163 Somerville Rd, Yarraville (above) with first-home buyers mostly keen on the townhouse.

The two-bedroom, one-bathroom home, in a gated complex, has been listed with a price guide of $640,000 to $690,000 through Ray White Yarraville’s Rita Galati.

“It’s a good price for Yarraville so it’s attracted a lot of first-home buyers, and it’s walking distance to the village,” Ms Galati said.

Ms Galati said she’d already had a few requests for contracts on the property, which will go under the hammer at 10am.

Meantime Ray White Forest Hill director Hugh Francis said a realistic price guide of $800,000 to $880,000 plus a higher volume of open homes would pose well for the sellers of 10 Milgate Court (above) at 11am this Saturday.

“The property had been on the market with another agency last year without success,” Mr Francis said.

“In the first three weeks we had 67 people through. We’ve been running double inspections on Saturday, in the morning and afternoon. A big thing is the three ensuites, with a bathroom downstairs.”
