luxury in 2026

When it comes to finding your next rental property, it's essential to find a home that ticks as many of your boxes as possible.

To help you get started on your property search, here are some top tips prospective tenants may wish to keep in mind.

Location, location, location

One essential thing to think about if you're looking to rent a property is where it is located - you'll want to consider your proximity to work, shops, cafes, restaurants and, if you have kids, local schools.

It's also important to think about whether there is a parking space (if you have a car) and what access you'll have to public transport links.

Storage space

While size is a key consideration when choosing a new house or apartment to rent, one factor that should not be overlooked is storage space.

Have a look at the cupboard space in the kitchen, wardrobe space in the bedrooms and other storage areas - are there places to store linens, kitchen gadgets and out-of-season clothes?

Some apartment blocks also have shared storage areas - make sure you ask your agent or landlord if you need access.
