The large beach front holiday property of former ANZ boss John McFarlane has been put on the market with Ray White Surfers Paradise Group selling agent Robert Graham.

Mr. McFarlane and his family have moved from Melbourne to London to take up the position of Chairman for Barclays Bank.

Sitting on a 565sq metre block, the property at 161 Hedges Avenue, Mermaid Beach is one of the largest on the street, and includes a 7-car basement garage with a turntable and rooftop pool.

The three level home remained virtually unused by Mr. McFarlane and his family while they lived in Australia.

“It looks the best it has ever looked,” said Ray White selling agent Robert Graham.

Purchased in 2009 for $4.2million, the home is now on the market for $4.3million.

Robert said it was unlike anything he has ever seen, “there is not quite anything like this on the beach front, it’s exquisite.”
