ONE of Australia’s most beautiful holiday homes has hit the market.

At $20,000 a night, Mandalay House is worth every cent with its horizon pool, rockwall marina berth and three opulent levels overlooking the azure Whitsunday coast.

But those in the market for a circa $20 million luxury getaway home are in luck after the Whitsunday property was listed for private sale through Ray White Whitsunday principal Mark Beale and Christie’s International’s Ken Jacobs. Meanwhile, the sellers said they are spending more and more time on their Sydney business interests and would like to see another family enjoy the magnificent property.

Located in the Whitsundays, in the heart of the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef with spectacular oceanfront views, Mandalay House is a Mediterranean inspired dream home with unrivalled luxury features throughout.

The new owner will not only have their own marina but also a helipad, jet ski docks and an amazing oceanfront pavilion that looks over the Coral Sea. Post-COVID, buyers are demanding more from their homes and Mandalay House doesn’t disappoint with a cinema, gym and six king sized bedrooms.

“Mandalay House has to be one of the most spectacular homes in Australia and it's not until you actually see it for yourself, that you can truly appreciate it,” Mr Beale said.

“The location is never to be repeated and offers everything anyone could ever want with total privacy, your very own private marina, more than enough space for all friends and family and the blossoming Airlie Beach only a few minutes drive away.

“The new owners can fly into any of the three close airports in the region and within a short period of time be relaxing in their own home and enjoying what the Whitsundays has to offer."

Ray White Whitsunday has been inundated with seachangers, with some 16 $1,000,000 plus sales in the Airlie Beach market in the last six months. A number that has skyrocketed compared to the same time year.“We are doing almost 100 per cent more sales compared to pre-COVID times last year and the numbers are just outstanding,” Mr Beale said.“What we are finding is that people from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane who would normally be travelling overseas are saying ‘let’s go to Queensland’.“Many buyers want a property up here that they can lease during the year and get holiday accommodation income then come up and stay with family friends for the holidays.“They receive between $10,000 and $15,000 income a month and a beautiful property right on the water.”
