So you’re at an open home/inspection and you absolutely fall in love with the property - but what questions should you be asking the agent? Ray White Punchbowl Sales Agent John Yatman (pictured above right) gives us the 10 things you should be asking:

  1. How long has the property been on the market?
  2. Why is the owner selling?
  3. What sort of constructions is the property made of?
  4. What offers have been made?
  5. Are the owners looking at a sale pre-auction or they've committed to auction day?
  6. Do you have a building/pest report?
  7. Are you aware of any renovations/work done to the property without council permission?
  8. Are there any easements on the property that may affect us from building in the future?
  9. What is the suburb like and are there any changes I should be aware of?
  10. Are the owners negotiable on the price?
