Their three-bedroom two-bathroom property at 46 Treadwells Road, Inverloch is being marketed by Ray White Inverloch principal Fiona McMahon-Hughes via expressions of interest by 22 October.

The property has a price guide between $3.2 million to $3.5 million.

Ms McMahon-Hughes said the property was an opportunity to secure a breathtaking waterfront home with uninterrupted views across the inlet, which is tidal, and beyond.

“There is a grand open-plan living and kitchen area where cathedral ceilings and expansive windows frame the picture-perfect backdrop,” Ms McMahon-Hughes said.

“Opportunities to secure a home, with your own beach, don’t come around very often.”

Mrs Dale said they bought the land in 1998, which was once a cow paddock, and built their home two years later.

Now, they are ready to downsize.

“We were actually living in a caravan for two years while our house was being built,” Mrs Dale said.

Mrs Dale said they were drawn to the location because of its beauty.

“We have lived by the beach for many years, in areas like Parkdale,” she said.

“We love the water, and right here you just can’t get any closer! We also have the most amazing sunsets.”

With five children and 10 grandchildren, the Dales said their Inverloch home was a hive of activity for special occasions like Christmas.

“Family come down for holidays, and the grandkids drag their swags out the front and camp,” Mrs Dale said.

Mr Dale said kayaking and swimming often topped the list of things to do when friends and family visited.

Mr Dale said he hoped another family would enjoy the home just like they have.

“When we bought this place it didn’t have one tree on it. We have transformed the land completely - even down to the spear-grass we planted bordering the beach,” he said.

“It’s such a peaceful place with plenty of wildlife to enjoy.”

Mrs Dale described the property as “paradise” with their own zoo.

“We put our heart and soul into this property and now we have kangaroos, echidnas, a wombat and the odd koala,” she said.

“There’s a magpie that comes for breakfast and the fresh water dam in front fills up with birds.”

Mr Dale said: “When the frogs are breeding he can hardly hear himself think. We have identified five species of frogs and thoroughly enjoy listening to them in full voice”.

“We are sad to leave and our family are just as sad,” he said.
