JOSIE Kelsey will miss many things about her four bedroom Carrum beach residence but looking out from her three storey high bedroom window is top of the list.

While Ms Kelsey and husband Paul Kelsey will miss their four bedroom 669-670 Nepean Highway home outside Melbourne, they are ready to leave the property for another loving family to enjoy. This decision prompted the couple to list with Ray White Chelsea agents Janine Foy and Kristyn Buckley.

The Carrum Beach luxury home is now on the market through private sale closing on Monday, November 30, with a price guide of $3,700,000 to $3,950,000.

The Kelseys are only the second owners of the beautiful Carrum home and after living there for 18 years Ms Kelsey hopes to see another family buy the property as their forever home.

Carrum is well known for its beautiful beach vistas and small town community feel, only 33 km south east of the Melbourne CBD. Ms Kelsey said not only is it a perfect lifestyle area but also a great place to raise school aged kids with public transport and amenities only minutes away from the beach.

“Our kids have all grown up and moved out so it’s time for us to downsize but it was a great house to raise our children. They were such lucky kids growing up in a house like this,” Ms Kelsey said.

“It’s pretty special here and I see another family similar to us moving in and I’m sure they will be there for another two decades just as we were.

“There is nothing bad that I can say about the house. It’s really well loved and when I first went in, it had the nicest feeling - probably from the family before us who obviously loved the home very much.”

Architecturally designed, the Carrum house was built to mimic the shape of a boat and stands out above its neighbours with three levels of breathtaking beachfront bliss.

Capturing unparalleled views from every corner of the open-plan living domain with floor-to-ceiling glass, the first floor is an authentic entertainers' oasis with sliding doors opening the home to the expanse of the bay.

The open plan kitchen and living areas are perfect for families while American Red Cherry cabinetry and spotted gum timber floors add to the ambience. The kitchen is a true performer with stainless steel appliances, Miele cooktop and a large stone-island.

These features are courtesy of renovations done when the Kelseys first moved in and put their mark on the four bedroom Carrum home.

“It was lovingly renovated with new bathrooms, floorboards and modern updates. I thought if I mimicked modern bathrooms that don’t show their age it would keep the house looking fresh. We also wanted to keep everything very neutral and sunny so it wouldn’t date,” Ms Kelsey said.
