RAY White Taylors Lakes and Ray White Croydon continued to defy the negative speculation surrounding the property market last night as the two offices sold eight properties between them under the hammer via online auction – to the tune of more than $6,350,000.

“The auctions for Ray White Taylors Lakes in particular were a real sign of market strength as online viewers topped 80 at one stage – both from registered bidders and potential future vendors,” said Ray White Victoria and Tasmania Chief Auctioneer Matt Condon (above).

“Across the eight auctions there were 53 registered bidders, so to put that into context, there are now 45-cashed up buyers still actively looking to purchase their next property.

“These results and this level of competition tells us the time to be selling your property is now. When you look at the evidence, you must ask yourself, what are you waiting for?”

The biggest sale came at the hands of Ray White Taylors Lakes Sales Agent Dianne Robinson and Principal Peter Travlos as they sold 1 Gloucester Court (above) in Sydenham for $800,000.

“We saw some terrific results last night – but the story doesn’t end with just the sales – we’re seeing properties that pass in having multiple parties negotiate on them after,” Mr Travlos said.

“The competition for properties is incredible right now. In recent times we’ve seen at least three to four registered bidders on every online auction property – that’s great for our vendors.”

Arguably the highlight came courtesy of Ray White Croydon Senior Sales Executive Dennis Lim and Sales Manager Greg Gibb as they sold 9 Mirang Avenue (above) for $742,000.

“This was a terrific result for our vendors. The property had a huge 14 registered bidders, five of whom were active, with the home selling $32,000 over reserve. It’s a great time to sell now.”
