Peter Taylor and Seaton Jones have joined forces and the Ray White group to open the new Ray White TaylorJones in Darlinghurst.
Offering the complete package, and excelling in two different skill sets, Peter and Seaton’s vision is to bring property management and sales together seamlessly.
“Our office works really well in tandem, and clients slide really well between both parts of the business. It’s already really integrated and a real seamless flow,” said Peter.
For Peter, the move was a welcome return to interacting with clients, after years at management level - with a key focus for the duo being client centric service.
“We wanted to be in the inner east and we wanted to do something that served property management and real estate to the best best of its ability within a boutique nature.”
Not only did they decide to join Ray White because of the support and resources the brand is well known for - but a key ingredient for Peter and Seaton was the close ties and partnership Ray White holds with the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA).

Peter and Seaton's office houses some of Australia's local talent including artists Justene Williams and Todd McMillan who are both collected by the MCA and Tasmania’s Museum of Old and New Art (MONA).
“Ray White’s affiliation with the MCA is really important to us,” said Seaton. "In our area, contemporary art resonates with our clientele, and our office space is testament to that.”
Both Peter and Seaton have worked alongside each other successfully for a number of years with boutique agency BresicWhitney. Peter with eighteen years in the industry behind him and Seaton with nine.
The pair decided it was an opportune time to create their own agency and Darlinghurst was the only choice - with an office on the famous Crown street.
“I’ve always had a bit of a love for this strip, the eclectic nature of this area really appeals to me, it’s through the shops, the retail, the people and the real estate,” said Peter.
Seaton added that this was the best thing about working in this area, “We’re not dealing with three of four bedroom homes with two bathrooms, it’s diverse real estate. We see warehouses, terraces, ultra-high end and lower end apartments, and people with great style doing some interesting things with properties that keeps us interested in the real estate side of things.”
Their impressive background saw them both mentored by Shannan Whitney, who they describe as one of the most innovative people in real estate - and hope to bring their own innovative flair to Ray White TaylorJones.
Already, they have snared some high profile clients, including Australian musician Daniel Johns, best known as the former lead singer of rock band Silverchair and his brother Heath as well as musician and producer Charlton Hill, who currently has his Potts Point penthouse on the market with Ray White TaylorJones.
Ray White joint-Chairman Brian White was also a big influence on Peter and Seaton’s decision to join the group, and Brian is excited to see them thrive.
“The White family is delighted that such talented professionals, upon deciding to establish their own business have chosen to become members of the Ray White Group,” said Brian.
The inner East has shaped their thirst for the property market, and they intend to make Ray White TaylorJones feel warm and welcoming.
“That’s why we do an office like this, to make it more interesting to your average real estate office. We’ve done this on the basis that we don't want the office to be too obtrusive to the local business' and community.”
