Ray White Springwood principal Lindsay Battley has expanded his real estate offering to Shailer Park in Brisbane’s south.

Mr Battley has consistently been ranked in the top performing business leaders in the Ray White Queensland network and has been with the leading group for more than 25 years. He has now taken his high performing office to the next level by opening another office in Shailer Park and will trade under Ray White Springwood and Shailer Park.Originally hailing from regional Victoria and coming from a rural and stock agent family, Mr Battley visited Brisbane on holidays 28 years ago and never left.“My father has always been a stock agent and as early as 12 years old I was going to work with him and seeing the real estate agents at work. I remember thinking that’s what I want to be one day,” Mr Battley said.He brought Victoria’s love of auctions with him to the sunshine state and has purpose built his Springwood and Shailer Park offices to have capacity to host in-room auctions which are run fortnightly.“Auctions are the base of our business and I have every intention of continuing to grow that,” Mr Battley said.“It gives us a good presence in the marketplace and we can turn over stock quicker and more successfully with auctions, which is in our clients’ best interest.“With auctions there is an ability for us to give our owners a way of selling with open and competitive bidding on their properties. A well run auction campaign will outsell any private treaty sale.”The new Shailer Park office will operate in conjunction with Mr Battley’s Springwood office and he said wider coverage will enable the team to better serve the local community.“Having two offices gives us a larger marketplace to grow into and the ability to service everyone we’re in touch with by giving them a better opportunity to sell,” he said.“Two offices are better than one and now we’ll have a bigger and stronger presence by reaching more buyers and sellers between the two offices that share the same type of market.”After almost three decades in the business, Mr Battley takes pride in the high standard of his team.“Our team are mostly locals so they have a lot of knowledge about the area, they live here and know what’s going on and what’s important to the people of Springwood and Shailer Park,” he said.“I know I am able to trust every one of them and that comes back to culture. I have no doubt my staff are the strongest part of my office.“I think it’s so important to take advantage of all the superior training, technology and resources Ray White has to offer to continue to allow them to grow. The width and breadth of the training and support on offer at Ray White far exceeds anyone else in the marketplace.”Ray White Queensland CEO Jason Andrew congratulated Mr Battley on his expansion into Shailer Park.“We are delighted that Lindsay has chosen to open another Ray White office with us,” Mr Andrew said.“He is one of our leading Brisbane principals and has recently been recognised with the group's Tony Fountain Excellence award for his work in continuing founder Ray White’s legacy through auctions.“I have no doubt Ray White Springwood with its expansion to Shailer Park will continue to be an asset to the group and looking forward to celebrating Lindsay’s success in the future.”
