Since expanding his business to cover all of Southern Tasmania, Ant Manton has today announced that Ray White is entering the commercial property market.
Heading up the commercial team is Andrew Wells, who has gained his 11 years of experience across three continents.
“My background is predominantly in upper level hospitality management and I’ve also had a lot to do with acquisition of business, purchasing of properties for business and appraisal of business,” Andrew said.
Having owned and run a business himself in Hobart, Andrew not only understands the needs and requirements of business owners he also has an intimate knowledge of the local commercial property market.
“There are particular areas in Hobart where a huge opportunity exists particularly with the Chinese investment dollar.
“Whilst the market has been quiet in recent years, it’s definitely not dead. The economy in Tasmania hasn’t done a lot, but it is on the way up and people can see that now.
“For investment purpose we’re already seeing interstate interest because Hobart is a cheaper market to buy into, but percentage returns are just as good as anywhere on the mainland,” he explains.
Joining Ray White Southern Tasmania in August 2014, Andrew has put the foundations of business in place, with big plans to grow fast.
“We’ve hired support staff and have a plan in place to grow the business. We’re already starting to see traction and we expect to see growth relatively quickly.
“Our main goal is to refresh the commercial sector in Tassie. We’ll offer a better service under bigger brand,” Andrew said.
With his ambitions clear, Andrew says Ray White was the only brand he would have considered joining.
“I decided to join because I wanted the opportunity to work with Ant. I was looking for a change and I was lucky that this opportunity presented itself.
“Ray White offers a high level of corporate support and obviously has a huge national profile. I wouldn’t have considered working with any other company or any other person,” he said.
