Ray White NSW | ACT celebrates its 2020 winners

ALMOST 1000 people tuned in to watch the Ray White NSW | ACT 2019-20 awards which looked a little different this year, held over Zoom, but nonetheless felt the same as the leading network celebrated the achievements of its top offices and individuals.

Ray White NSW CEO Andrew McCulloch (pictured below right) said the iso-style awards were a sign of 2020 given the global health pandemic. “We stand here, not physically with you, but unequivocally working with you. Further together, as always,” he said.

“Congratulations on all of your achievements over the past 12 months.”

Ray White NSW and ACT CEO Jason Andrew (pictured below left) said one in 11 homes were sold by a Ray White agent, but the goal was 20 per cent market share.

“With the momentum that you have created, as your leaders, we will have failed if this target is not met in 2025. Imagine the dialogue in the dining rooms across the state when this goal becomes a reality. Our three pillars are; recruitment, performance and auctions. They work together in perfect harmony to build our business as they should yours,” Mr Andrew said.

“We are closer together now than ever before. We are no longer your franchisor. We see ourselves as your business partners. Your success is ours; our failures are yours.”

In his first year of business ownership, top performer Gavin Rubinstein (pictured below) of Ray White TRG cemented his place as the Top Selling Principal in NSW and ACT.

He was also awarded the Top Principal Award Internationally, across all of Australia and New Zealand - the first time he was eligible in the category as he’s now an owner. He’d previously won the top salesperson for seven years in a row.

His one-year-old office Ray White TRG, which operates in the affluent eastern suburbs of Sydney, also ranked number six in the office rankings across the premium markets.

Mr Rubinstein said the Top Principal Award was “the sweetest of them all”.

“It’s sweeter than the seven number ones as a salesperson I would say, just given the circumstances. What will be sweeter is when one of my agents from TRG secures the number one salesperson award and eventually when Ray White TRG competes for the top office spot across NSW.”

The state’s coveted Top Office Award went to Ray White Lower North Shore, which also ranked as the second top office in the international award.

Lower North Shore Directors Geoff Smith and Richard Harding praised their incredible team and the White family for the support and hard work.

“Since we joined Ray White three years ago, we have continued to go from strength to strength with the support of the family and our team. All the leaders within our team excel at what they do. We both feel incredibly blessed today to work with such an amazing team of high performers and in the best part of Sydney.”

Ray White Maroubra | South Coogee Director Nader Hotait took home the award for Top Salesperson in terms of commission in NSW and ACT for 2019-20, while Brendan Lappan of the powerhouse Ray White Macarthur Group was awarded Top Salesperson by number of sales, and number four in the international rankings.

Brendan Lappan is known by his Ray White family as ‘Mr Consistent’ as he’s consistently ranked as a top performer for the last 11 years. The Macarthur Group won the Best Referring Office to Loan Market, while its co-owner Tim Doyle was the Best Referring Individual.

Andy Yeung of Ray White AY Realty Chatswood was named as the Top Selling Principal by number of sales and the number four international principal by number of sales. He was also named as the Top Individual for Business Growth in 2019-20. Ray White Upper North Shore was named the Top Office in terms of Business Growth.

The award for Excellence in Auction - Office was awarded to Ray White Canberra for their determination in this area to list and sell by auction method, while the Excellence in Auction - Individual in 2019-20 went to the dynamo Ercan Ersan of Ray White Erskineville for his outstanding commitment to his vendors through auctioneering.

The CEO’s Cup Award, given to the people identified as having made a significant contribution to the Ray White brand, was awarded to Ben Faulks and Scott Jackson of Ray White Canberra, with CEOs Andrew McCulloch and Jason Andrew praising the pair as two of the most respected business leaders in the group.

Our top offices by way of Clients Choice in 2019-20 were Upper North Shore, Shellharbour Oak Flats Group, Lower North Shore, Kiama and Canberra.

Sharon Deadman of Ray White Bendalong | Manyana was awarded the community contribution award.

Mr McCulloch said the community award was one of the most difficult awards to choose a winner for. “This year in particular, with the numerous challenges we’ve all faced, we are so proud of our many members doing amazing work for their communities,” Mr McCulloch said.

“However, this years’ recipient has a story that is nothing short of inspirational. Over the Christmas period and well into the new year, our country was devastated by some of the worst bushfires we have ever seen, burning over 18 million hectares.

“Sharon’s resilience and selflessness in supporting her community, saving many lives, is something that we are so grateful for and proud of, and is exactly what makes her so deserving of the Community Service Award.”

Meanwhile, Emma Lazzaro of Ray White Caringbah won the Administrator | PA of the Year, while the Sutherland Shire team won Administration Team of the Year.

Jessica Kingsley of Ray White Riverstone won the Property Manager of the Year, and Ray White Maroubra | South Coogee won Property Management Business of the Year. Ray White Double Bay won the Property Management Business Development Business of the Year award for 2019-20.
