The loyalty to the Ray White brand ran very deep with the owners of24/26 Rees Ave, Clayfieldwhich sold today under the hammer for $960,000.Home owner Joan French, now aged in her late 80s, worked as a typist for Ray White himself in 1945-49 at Ray White House in Queen Street, Brisbane.In fact Ray White wrote a reference for Joan French (nee Robertson) in 1949 saying that during her five years working for him that she was "efficient, with a courteous and obliging disposition".Ray White himself recommended her to any future employer for her "honest and excellent character".Ray White Ascot principal Dwight Ferguson said the French's family connection to Ray White was very strong."There is a wonderful sense of loyalty when you represent such a strong brand as Ray White that has such strong family values. I have actually sold two houses for Joan's sons too."Joan French and her husband David will now move into a retirement village.There was 11 registered bidders today vying for the three bedroom unit with views to Moreton Bay which sold to a Brisbane couple under the hammer of auctioneer David Treloar.
