A new team at Ray White Terrigal brings a lifetime of local knowledge to the market as Sydneysiders are moving into the area for a more affordable and relaxed lifestyle.

Long-time residents, Carl Baker and Shaun Hudson-Smith, have opened the doors to the new Ray White Terrigal.

“We’re seeing a lot of momentum in the market. Sales in the area are really picking up - it is the best I’ve seen since 2006,” says Mr Baker.

The partners attribute the strengthening of the market to Sydney buyers moving north.

“We are seeing a lot of families from Sydney looking to buy in the area because it’s a more affordable option compared to coastal suburbs in Sydney.

“It’s an attractive alternative to a lot of people because you get the laid-back beach lifestyle and you’re still only an hour out of Sydney,” says Mr Hudson-Smith.

With a median house price of $576,000, Mr Baker and Mr Hudson-Smith say first home buyers are competitive in the market.

“For the price of a unit in many Sydney markets you can buy a freestanding house here. First home buyers and families looking to upsize can see the advantages of the area.

“More than 70 per cent of homes are owner-occupied and that creates a great sense of community. People who do invest in the area are often buying a weekender or holiday home,” says Mr Baker.

The Ray White Group sees huge potential for this new partnership.

“This is a welcome home for Shaun who has worked for us before and a warm welcome to Carl who has been a top-performing agent in the area for some time.

“This is a strong team who were ready to take the next step in their career by becoming business owners. They saw that the best opportunity to take on that challenge was with Ray White and we are looking forward to seeing their business grow and thrive,” says Stephen Nell, CEO Ray White NSW.

The team at Ray White Terrigal are driven by the local community.

“I’ve grown up here my whole life and Shaun has lived in the area for 15 years. We are committed to the community and we want to be the agency that works hard to help buyers and sellers achieve their goals,” says Mr Baker.
