Ray White Expands to North Richmond

Peter Chidgey will open his third Ray White office in the Hawkesbury region after taking over the highly respected Kathy McManus Real Estate business at North Richmond.

Mr Chidgey, who already has successful Ray White agencies at Windsor and Kurrajong, said it was an exciting opportunity at North Richmond to purchase the business from Kathy McManus, who is retiring after 20 years in real estate.

“Kathy McManus Real Estate has a very loyal following in North Richmond so we are fortunate to be able to capitalize on the great work from Kathy and her team over the years,” Mr Chidgey said.

“There are tremendous opportunities in North Richmond to work with the local community and contribute to the area, which has a diverse mix of real estate ranging from semi-rural acreage property to homes in new housing estates.

“It’s an active real estate market in North Richmond and I have been keen to open up an agency in this lovely town for some time.”

Ms McManus said she had known Peter Chidgey for many years but a chance meeting between the pair led to the business sale.

“I had been looking to sell the business and I spotted Peter walking past my office as he had been in North Richmond looking for an office location of his own,” she said.

“I said to Peter ‘let’s have a coffee’ … and the rest is history.”

Ms McManus, who started in real estate with Ray White, said retiring from the business was “a bit like giving up your family”.

“But I know it is in safe hands with Peter and I have the highest respect for him,” she said.

Mr Chidgey said Ray White North Richmond‘s sales team would be headed by Cindy Cash and Geoff Luscombe, while Di Tutty will be the business development manager and Megan Sieders the office manager. Loan Market’s Martin Beanland will also be based at the North Richmond office.
