Local real estate agents Andrew Campbell, Tim Gordon and Nick Griffiths have expanded further across the Redcliffe Peninsula, opening Ray White Margate on 31 March 2014.
Andrew and Tim opened their first business, Ray White Redcliffe, in 2012.
“Tim and I started our business with three people and saw huge growth in the first 12 months. We’ve seen an increasingly strong market and have the opportunity to expand our business in partnership with Nick,” says Andrew.
Nick will head up the sales team at Ray White Margate, while Tim will split his time between the Redcliffe and Margate property management teams. Andrew will continue to run the sales team at Redcliffe - the largest sales team on the Peninsula.
“I joined Ray White because of the strong brand and the strong community involvement associated with the brand. In the past I have operated as an independent so I know the pressures of owning a business. Ray White provide support that you don’t get as an independent agency,” says Nick.
“In my 11 years in real estate, I’ve seen the boom between 2001 and 2003, lived through the GFC and now seen the market recover. It’s been a rollercoaster ride over the years and the market is now going from strength to strength. I think we’ll see big changes in the next 12 to 24 months.
“Redcliffe Peninsula is going through a growth period. A lot of shopping centres are opening, giving opportunity to new business. The local restaurant scene is becoming more popular and since the QANTAS maintenance and engineer support network moved up to Brisbane airport, employees have moved into the area.
“Because of this activity we’re seeing an undersupply of property, particularly in the last four months, and we’ll see that continue,” Nick explains.
Redcliffe Peninsula remains one of the most attractive areas to live in the Moreton Bay Region.
“Property types range from multi-million dollar waterfront properties to a few streets back from the water, where homes cost around $350,000. The redcliffe peninsula is the closest area to the city which has beaches. Margate offers a laid-back beachfront lifestyle without the budget!” says Andrew.
As the partners open the doors to Ray White Margate, they have clear goals in mind.
“We want to change the perception of real estate agents in the area. We’ll be more involved in the local community and let people know that we’re human too,” says Nick.
“We don’t necessarily want to be the biggest agency in Margate, we just want to be the best,” Andrew concludes.
