RAY WHITE and Loan Market celebrated its best performers of 2019-20 a bit differently this year as some members across the WA network tuned in virtually for the annual awards.

Ray White WA CEO Mark Whiteman (pictured above) said the Western Australian network had come through a trying time with flying colours and he could not be prouder.

“Following five plus years of declining activity the market started to improve just as COVID-19 appeared,” Mr Whiteman said.

“It's interesting what we find out about ourselves when the pressure goes on and we’re put to the test.

“Enormous courage under fire was shown by all our leaders, our administrators, sales and property management teams and our home loan colleagues at Loan Market.”

The coveted awards saw Ray White Dalkeith | Claremont in the blue chip western suburbs once again take home the prize for top sales office based on the highest settled commission, and principal Vivien Yap (pictured above) was again named as the top principal for 2019-20 - the third year in a row since joining the group.

She was also named as the number two top principal across all of Ray White internationally.

“It’s always good to be recognised when you put in the hard work and what we have here at the Dalkeith | Claremont office is a culture that you just can’t replicate anywhere else," Ms Yap said.

"Within our office we're very close and I’m just so glad to have a job that I actually enjoy so much. All of us actually truly enjoy each other’s company and that just makes work so much more fun.

“I'm very proud of my team. We have an extremely cohesive team and we communicate extremely well all the time. I couldn’t be where I am today without them. They are part of my family.”

Thomas Jefferson Wedge of Ray White Dalkeith | Claremont was named the Western Australian network’s Rising Star for 2019-20 following an impressive first year with the group under the guidance and leadership of Ms Yap and office General Manager Lee Fitzgerald.

The Dalkeith | Claremont office was also recognised as the number one office in the Ray White WA network for business growth, calculated on percentage increase of commission growth.

Mr Whiteman said that Mr Wedge’s recognition as Rising Star was fitting proof of the way Ms Yap and Ms Fitzgerald have been developing their people.

"What many people probably don't realise is the amount of work that Vivien and her general manager Lee have been putting in to developing people and helping them build first class sales careers," Mr Whiteman said

"We look forward to more great people being developed and nurtured within the Ray White Dalkeith | Claremont environment.”

Elite sales operator Ben Keevers (pictured above) of Ray White North Quays was named as the top sales agent of 2019-20 based on settled commission. This is the second year in a row the Perth agent has taken the top spot.

“I’m wrapped, I’m really happy. I’d really like to thank my partner in crime and Sales Associate Amy Audas, without her, I wouldn’t be standing up here,” Mr Keevers said in his acceptance speech.

“I’d just like to thank everyone for their help and support. It’s been a weird year but we’ve stuck to our task and tried to see the good in everything.

“I think the good thing is that we can see that property has held up well through a pretty tough time and that’s certainly been our attitude. There’s still opportunities out there.”

Long established business Ray White Karratha was again named top property management office by revenue for 2020. This business is in the heart of WA’s mining centre and is famous for having a huge focus on its loyal property investors to achieve maximum financial results.

The Excellence in Auction award for the top office went to Ray White Whiteman & Associates, while Andrew Huggins from Ray White Urban Springs took out the individual Excellence in Auction award for the fourth year in a row.

The office with the highest amount of referrals was once again Ray White Whiteman & Associates.

While Julyous Del Rosario was named as Loan Market WA’s best referring individual based on the number of loans and Deborah Brady of Ray White Cottesloe | Mosman Park based on the value of loans.

The Damien Mills Community Contribution award for an office went to Ray White Dalkeith | Claremont for their outstanding contribution to the local community.

The night also saw a number of gongs handed out for property management achievements.
