Ray White Awards Announced for Rural
For the first time in decades, a salesperson from inland Australia has topped the competitive agent ranking in Australasia’s largest real estate company.
For the first time in decades, a salesperson from inland Australia has topped the competitive agent ranking in Australasia’s largest real estate company.
Mark Muldrew of Emerald is the top performing agent (across residential, rural, commercial) internationally for the Ray White Group. This was announced tonight (Friday 15 February 2013) at the Ray White Rural Awards in Brisbane.
“It is not always recognised that the mining boom has transformed otherwise low-growth communities into environments of explosive residential growth,” explains Brian White, joint Chairman of Ray White Group.
“Emerald exemplifies this, perhaps, better than any other market in Australia. Mark has been at the centre of an incredible number of residential transactions and was the right man at the right time.”
For years the top international performers have come from the Eastern seaboard of Australia including the Gold Coast and Sydney’s aspirational suburbs, or New Zealand’s cities, but not from rural or regional areas.
“I am absolutely thrilled at the result for Mark,” said Paul White, joint Chairman of Ray White Group, “it’s well deserved. He sold over 124 properties which equates to nearly two per week for the working year.”
For context, the average Australian real estate agency (not individual) would have sold 106 properties combined in the last twelve months, according to the Real Estate Institute of Australia.
Paul White said the last year had seen improvement for the Ray White rural network despite a tough market.
“Rural property sales have improved for us and the livestock business is simply exploding. We’re attracting great people into Ray White Livestock and that, in turn, is contributing positively to our property listings and sales.”
Ray White Emerald is owned by the Muldrew family including Mark’s father Winston and mother Athene. Not surprisingly, the office was awarded the top gong among rural offices in Australia also.
Mark and his brother Paul Muldrew were both confirmed as Alan White Elite Performers - landing them in the top two per cent of the network. They were ranked first and third in the rural network respectively for their sales of residential property.
Meanwhile, fellow local Ray White office, Rural Emerald, didn’t leave empty handed. Rural property salesperson Russell Lindley ranked second for rural sales.
Principal Russell Wolff was confirmed as a Premier performer, ranked fourth in the rural network for rural sales and was awarded for excellence in marketing.
