PERTH real estate agent Brent Compton can now add singer and songwriter to his CV after he wrote and performed this catchy YouTube video to help sell this four bedroom Manning house.
The Ray White City Residential selling principal and auctioneer approached up and coming Perth band Tangent to help him rock out a property music video.Tangent had been rehearsing at the property at 30 Conochie Cres, Manning for some years.Band leader David McSweeney said he was excited when Mr Compton approached the band to help him market the tidy red brick home in a creative way.“I gave Brent a list of the songs we and he ended up selecting "Stuck In The Middle With You" by Stealer's Wheel. It's a catchy upbeat tune which gets the audience tapping their feet,” Mr McSweeney said.“Brent did a great job on the lyrics and it only needed a bit of tweaking from me in a couple of spots - the end result was great."While Brent will be the first to admit he is not a singer, his presentation and sheer enthusiasm carried the day.“We recorded it on one of our usual Thursday night rehearsal sessions. Getting the sound right was a concern as we are only set up for rehearsing, not recording, but Paul, our videographer, did a great job in the end.“Everyone in the band had a great time and loved the result.“The video is the first of its kind and everyone that I have shown it to has absolutely loved it."It shows the property in a great light and the music aspect takes the serious edge off the presentation.
