Original home of Imbil sawmill owner hits the market
A classic 1905-built Queenslander which was once the original home of well-known Imbil sawmill owner J.W. Lutton has hit the market.
Owner Tanya Simpson has used the property as an Airbnb and said it was time for someone else to enjoy the 1373sqm property.
“People just love coming to stay here - it’s in a very private and quiet lane,” Ms Simpson said.
She said works on the nearby Borumba Pumped Hydro Project (a long-duration pumped hydro energy storage system being developed at Lake Borumba and surrounding areas) had attracted several work groups to stay at the property.
“With no motels in town this is a spacious house for groups,” said Ms Simpson, who works as a child health nurse in Brisbane.
“It is also close to the rail trails and perfect for running and cycling as you explore the area. Water sports including fishing and kayaking can also be enjoyed at Borumba dam.”
