New York Slice CEO Selling Prime Site in Brisbane's Ascot

Entrepreneur Todd Macgregor has put one of Ascot’s largest, most sought after home sites on the market to focus on his growing business interests.
The 1,265 sqm property at 9 Palm Avenue, Ascot, in Brisbane’s inner north was purchased by the New York Slice CEO two years ago at auction during less buoyant and aggressive market conditions.
Mr Macgregor said he had made plans to build his family’s dream home on the expansive site, which is surrounded by some of Brisbane’s finest homes.
“My original intent was to build a family home but due to the demands of my business I have had to list the property and hope to take advantage of the current growth in luxury property sales,” he said.
Mr Macgregor’s iconic 12 year old pizza business will take on the big guns in the $3.6 billion Australian pizza market this year by franchising the brand across the country.
“Although it will be a shame to move on from such a great opportunity, my business interests have taken precedence over available time,” he said.
“However, it will also be great to see someone else take advantage of such a unique site in Ascot.
“My family, especially my wife, are now looking forward to finalising the sale of the land and acquiring what will be our family home for some time to come.”
Ray White Ascot's Damon Warat said the inner city allotment offered buyers a blank canvas to build and design their dream home.
Mr Warat said the 1,265 sqm superior home and tennis court site offered a rare opportunity to secure a large elevated block of land in one of Ascot’s premier streets.
“The property features 21.64m x 58.4m of street frontage and is located within the Ascot State School catchment, making it the perfect property to base a family home,” he said.
“Ideally located close to Oriel Park, Lancaster Road and Alexandra Road, the property enjoys easy access to transport, shops, Eagle Farm Markets and Ascot’s buzzing Racecourse Road.
“Properties of this calibre are impossible to come by and we’re anticipating this particular site to be heavily contested at auction.”
9 Palm Avenue will be offered for sale at the on-site auction at 10am on Saturday, May 2, 2015.
