WITH Mother’s Day just around the corner, we asked one of our most successful mother and daughter sales teams what is the secret to their success.
Ray White Whitsunday sales agent Ellen Kerr and her daughter Bek Kerr, have been working together for more than 12 years. The pair have just celebrated their 10 year anniversary at Ray White.
Ellen Kerr says the secret to waking up excited every day to the job she loves is her passion.
She also feels blessed to work in partnership with her daughter Bek, as part of the Ray White family and to live in tropical paradise.
“From a business point of view, we know how lucky are we to work alongside each other. We trust each other implicitly with unlimited support,” said Bek Kerr.
“We always have each other’s back and we get to celebrate our achievements together.
“We don’t have to settle for limited time spent together outside of work hours too, as we get to take on each day together, and we thrive.”
For Ellen Kerr the best part about working with her daughter was getting to work with her “best friend - it’s a pretty amazing thing”.
“Real estate brings many highs and lows and there is nobody else I would rather face the day with. People often say to us 'how do you do it, my daughter and I would fight every day' but all we know is we have always been incredibly close,” Ellen said.
“If there are others out there currently working with their mother or daughter, or those that have the opportunity to, if you think it would work for you take it.
“For us, working together has always been a rewarding and bonding experience.”
Team Kerr say they were definitely living their dream.
“We love the North Queensland lifestyle and we love sharing it with all of our customers from all around the world. We love helping people realise their dreams of living in paradise and wouldn’t trade what we do together for anything.”
