Whether you're buying or renting apartments in Mosman, it's important to feel as though you are part of a community.

This is the message being driven home by one local initiative, which is sharpening its focus on local inclusion.

Two new workshops planned by Mosman Municipal Council will encourage residents, as well as other interested parties, to share ideas and strategies to build a better, healthier community.

According to Mosman Council, the outcomes of the two workshops - which will be held at Mosman Seniors Centre on June 19 and at the Council Civic Centre on June 21 - will be used to develop its community strategic plan, MOSPLAN.

"A connected and inclusive community boosts people's health and wellbeing, provides mutual support in times of need, embraces difference and encourages participation in community life," the council asserted on May 29.

The workshops will also aim to develop strategies that combat the problems of social isolation, exclusion and loneliness.

This isn't the first time the local authority has sought to obtain insights from Mosman residents about life in one of Sydney's most popular suburbs.

Parents are encouraged to fill out a survey on the council website, sharing how they would like to be kept informed of events and resources for families in the community.
