AFTER 18 years of being off with the fairies on their Guanaba Valley estate, "Faerie Ridge", sellers Simon and Glenda have put their property up for auction.

The 4.14ha fairy garden is being sold by Ray White Capalaba agent Rhondda Arentz through auction on Sunday, April 11.

The couple had Faerie Ridge built in recent years, designing and sourcing bespoke touches from around the world for the property to create a magical paradise with a 300m plus wide Coomera River frontage and featuring the majestic Cuban Royal Palms close to the house which complement the park-like surroundings.

The name “Faerie Ridge” came about because of a section in the front garden that the couple have always referred to as 'the fairy garden’ which Glenda tells her grandchildren is where the fairies live.

Simon and Glenda are now downsizing to be closer to family but said they will miss the property where they were married.

“We will definitely miss it, because it is such a unique property,” Simon said.

“The main thing is that the property is all about the environment.

“One of the reasons we love it is because it’s like living in your own private park. When it rains, we love to walk through the forest areas, it’s very mysterious as it is ancient land.”

The extensive infrastructure including pumping rights from the Coomera river is complemented with paddocks for horses and livestock.

The Guanaba Valley is one of the Gold Coast’s hidden treasures, only 10 minutes from major theme parks, Movie World and Dreamworld. Suitable for anybody looking for seclusion while still being close to the Gold Coast amenities and Brisbane. The property suits retirees or growing families looking to entertain, enjoy their pets, walking through your own little rainforest or canoe along the river - something Glenda and Simon regularly do with their grandchildren.

“The house is big enough for a family and very comfortable,” Simon said.

With features too many to list like soaring ceiling lines, plenty of light, an art deco styled private cinema, several living areas, massive office, a unique kids cubby house and beautiful limestone and Blackbutt flooring throughout. There is even a historic cottage for an adult child or extended family.
