RAY White Mundubbera and Ray White Dalby have come together as one and celebrated a 100 per cent clearance rate under the hammer as 13 Queensland rural properties sold for a combined $6,268,000 during one online auction programme.

The assets were sold on behalf of HQPlantations and generated a whopping 55 registered bidders across the 13 lots - as multiple properties attracted 10 competing buyers.

356 McLeods Road (pictured above and below) in Monto took the crown for the biggest sale of the day as the hammer fell for $876,000.

“To be able to sell 13 out of 13 properties at online auction given the current climate is quite remarkable - it’s a great irony that rural properties continue to provide shoots of growth,” said Ray White Mundubbera Principal Janelle Duffin.

“We’ve worked incredibly hard across the five-week campaign - and it all came together in the last two weeks as we got to grips with the online auction platform - and then essentially trained every one of our registered bidders on how the process worked.

“There’s a lot of confidence in the rural market right now and the sector itself is looking strong. Beef prices are good, interest rates are low, and banks seem to be looking favourably on agricultural businesses.

“Hats off to HQPlantations who didn’t waiver in their commitment to sell at auction. We’ve been working with them for months and I firmly believe it was the strength of the Ray White brand that gave them the courage to see the campaign through to the end.

“We hit our database hard but also had a strong two-pronged marketing campaign with both print and digital marketing that resulted in 95 contracts being sent out prior to auction day.

“We adapted quickly to restrictions and the way we conducted private inspections was innovation at its finest. We would drive around the property in one vehicle and the potential buyer in another - and when stopping at a point of interest we’d talk via radio.”

Ray White Dalby Principal Roger Lyne said the auction programme had been in the works since mid-2019 and he praised his team for their ability to be agile.

“Being able to get a 100 per cent clearance rate with things as they are is quite humbling - it has been an exceptional team effort throughout the campaign,” Mr Lyne said.

“We had more than 115 viewers during the auction programme and my phone hasn’t stopped ringing since with positive feedback on how the process worked.

“We’re very appreciative of HQPlantations for entrusting us with their programme of lots and the interest was coming primarily from grazing and farming opportunities.

“The online auction platform is a great way for us to showcase our innovation and the vendor was very happy with how it ran - we’re of course very satisfied with the outcome.

“We wholeheartedly believe in the auction method and the reason we decided to still go ahead with the online auction way was because it still drives that emotional connection between all of the involved parties.

“You could also feel the confidence flowing from the buyers with competition fierce throughout as they competed for what were high-quality properties.”

Ray White QLD Chief Auctioneer Mitch Peereboom (pictured above) said he was proud of the teams at Mundubbera and Dalby for standing by the auction method of sale.

“We’re so proud our online platform allows us to create competition and gives us the ability to still conduct auctions as our members have been doing since 1902. Auctions are in our DNA and they always will be in the future,” Mr Peereboom said.

“The great thing about auction is it doesn’t discriminate - it works no matter what asset class is being sold because it delivers that emotional connection between buyers, sellers, agents and auctioneers.

“My congratulations to both the teams at Mundubbera and Dalby for innovating pretty much overnight to deliver what was a seamless auction schedule for scores of viewers.”
