Clare Cowen has defied a challenging regional market to be recognised as one of the top performing principals for Australasia’s largest property group Ray White in Western Australia.

The Ray White Broome Director was runner up for the top principal based on unconditional sales commission category at the Group’s Half Yearly Awards for WA in Perth last Friday.

Ray White WA CEO Mark Whiteman said Ms Cowen had done exceptionally well given the real estate market in the state’s north-west has been experiencing tough times.

“Clare has enjoyed a remarkable career in real estate and her performance in the second half of 2014 was a tremendous achievement,” Mr Whiteman said.

“She averaged eight property sales a month for the last six months of the year which is simply outstanding in that market.”

Ms Cowen said any recognition of her sales performance should be shared with her team at Ray White Broome, particularly co-principal Tony Hart and the support staff including Naomi Scarlett and Andrew Dwyer.

“We work closely as a team at Ray White Broome and to have any success in real estate a team effort is essential,” she said.

“The market in the north-west has certainly been challenging in recent years but there are always buyers in any market if the price is right.

“We have just put a considerable amount of effort into our marketing strategies and try to provide sellers and buyers with the best possible information and feedback.

“It is currently a good time to buy in Broome and there are opportunities particularly for first time buyers looking to get into the market.”

Clare Cowen has a wealth of experience in the real estate industry and her decision to establish a Ray White franchise in Broome three years ago delighted Ray White Group Chairman Brian White.

“It was a great day for my family when Clare decided to open a business for Ray White in Broome,” he said.
