ONE of Australia’s best high performance real estate coaches Adam Downes has just taken over the reins at Ray White Ashgrove with the view to putting into action everything he knows in the blue chip community.

Mr Downes, who has worked for the White family group for the last eight years, has coached hundreds of businesses across Australia and New Zealand, from the very best to the newest rookies.

He’s well regarded for driving performance within the leading group’s real estate offices across Australia and New Zealand showing them how to grow.

The experienced auctioneer from Brisbane’s leafy western suburbs was excited about the next step and owning his own franchise in the area where he and his wife Rachael were raising their family of three children. He thanked outgoing principal Joe Denham who had owned the business for 9 years and was highly regarded in the family friendly community.

Mr Downes, has a military background after working in the Royal Australian Air Force and then became a real estate salesperson in 2007.

He is one of the state’s most highly regarded auctioneers and negotiators, and is a sought after presenter at Ray White and industry events across the country.

“I have coached and trained thousands of agents across Australia and New Zealand, and I have mentored many of our Elite and Chairman’s Elite agents. I plan to keep expanding Ashgrove and welcome the chance to talk to new and experienced agents who are looking for structure and mentoring,” Mr Downes said.

“I know the growth strategies, processes and structures for agents to grow their teams.”

Mr Downes’ legacy at Ray White was his curiosity to build the industry-leading Pulse platform which offers real-time insights into every single agent and business across Australia and New Zealand.

As the driving force behind Pulse, this tool has changed the way in which agents and principals manage and run their businesses.

“Pulse has been a game changer and has supercharged the abilities and performance of our businesses and salespeople. I am very proud of that legacy and looking forward to making the leap back into sales and leading my new team.”

Mr Downes is also responsible for Ray White’s ‘missed millions program’ which revolutionised the way in which its businesses and agents leverage their databases.

“I can show agents and businesses how to maximize the value of their database and increase their income as a result. I am so excited about building these practices into my own business.”

“Property owners can take great confidence in the fact I know how to create the maximum competition for their home. This competition is what drives a premium price. There’s never been a better time to build a business, especially in Brisbane.”

Ray White Queensland CEO Jason Andrew said he was delighted to see Adam Downes take the natural step into business ownership.

“Adam has been a key leader in the business of Ray White itself for many years and we are thrilled to see him partner with us in the field. We thank Joe Denham for his years of service too,” Mr Andrew said.

“It is clear that Queensland is the place to be. The data has shown an uplift in pricing of 15 per cent during 2021, and we have no doubts that property will continue to climb off the back of this incredible news. There’s never been a better time to invest in Queensland.”

In Brisbane, the number of $1 million plus suburbs has increased by a third over the past 12 months and the Olympics in 2032 are expected to super-charge investment in infrastructure in the host city which will benefit all homeowners.
